Emily, I think you're asking about the satirical book prompt (#38)? There's a books shelved as satire list that might help. Basically, it's a book that's making fun of something. They can be sort of heavy, like Catch-22 which concerns war, or more lighthearted like Terry Pratchett's Discworld series (The Color of Magic) which makes fun of common fantasy tropes.

I think the suggestions you've made are perfect for the challenge. Although I haven't read them, the description for Honeymoon in Paris calls it a 'prequel novella' and says 'takes place several years before the events to come in The Girl You Left Behind'.
