I've been looking forward to reading this "series" since last summer when the first one came out. I didn't read the first one because I hate waiting for a sequel. But now that I look at all the reviews.. I don't know if I should even read them anymore.
Thoughts?

I would read them. I really really enjoyed Book 1 and I didn't hate book 2 but I really didn't enjoy it like I did the first book. I say...go for it.
Don't read book 2. Just stay in the happy place from the end of the first book. The second book is confusing and frustrating and towards the end really annoying.
Meh... If I had to do it over, I'd skip them both.
