Bianca (biancamaartje) | 7 comments Hi all, my name is Bianca and I'm from the Netherlands. hoping to digitally meet some bookfans and share thoughts and passions. I have recently discovered the joy of reading biographies.

Nazrul Buang (nazrul-kun) | 4 comments Hi, Nazrul hailing from Singapore here!

I've been an avid reader for almost 3 years, and my choice of books tend to gravitate towards non-fiction, such as business, psychology, history and medicine.

My friend is strongly recommending me to give fiction a try. At first, I was a little resistant because I tend to like how non-fiction is grounded to real life. However, after giving "Nightingale" and "The Martian" a go, I am making more time for the genre.

Hope I get to learn a thing or two in this group. Glad to be here!

Hi Nazrul :)
non-fiction is my favourite genre also, but there's some good fiction out there :)
Hope you'll find the right book for you :)

Thanks, SerialReader! Hope to stumble upon more fiction masterpieces! If you have anything to recommend off the top of your head, be my guest ;)

Cheryl Russell | 83 comments Hi Nazrul, have you tried psychological thrillers. You might enjoy those since you are interested in psychology. Or you could try Tess Garrittsen since you are interested in medicine. I have a feeling her books have a medical background to them. I prefer reading fiction so if I can be of anymore help in this area just ask.

Hi
I like lots of different types of books but lately tend to read more nonfiction.
I am a mood - reader I guess , so it all depends on the day as to what I might be reading.
I have been looking for a group that is busy but not one that has several thousand members. Those are hard to fit into.
Looking forward to meeting new people in here.

B.Y. Yan | 1 comments Hello, my name is B.Y. Yan, and I still think nothing really tops Sir Arthur's Sherlock Holmes as the best serials past to present...

There's just something about the way that all those stand-alone stories really do contribute to a whole timeline for those who care enough to look deeply into such things that makes the series incredible reading and re-reading. But I suppose given that the stories are still be reprinted today (and the term long since entered into common parlance - by smart***es and otherwise) it should come as no surprise.

Moriarty still stands as one of the best villains ever put to paper, and he only appears in one episode...

Cindarella (princesscindarella) | 3 comments Hi! My name is Cindarella, nickname Cindy. I'm from Finland and I have also lived in Stockholm, Sweden. I love to travel and buy books from different places. I have been a reader for a while and I have studied literature for years. I read and speak fluently three languages. Nowadays I read mostly in English. I'm a very random reader. Sometimes I read a lot, sometimes it can take a long time before I can pick up another book. I love YA, fantasy, sci fi, horror and chick-lit. I have never really been disappointed in a book. Maybe two times
