No idea I never considered 'the' as a word since it's not considered for the sorting process - as well as the other articles 'A' or 'An' in English

I couldn't say, either way, as it is not my game and haven't made the rules. I guess, "the" could be considered, it's just that they don't usually use "The" or "A" as a contributing word in these games and tend to skip to the following word as an entry or the beginning letter of that word in other games. Clear as mud? Lol
