I'm very excited to be reading with you all. Just a heads up, I live in Arizona. Not sure what time zone you guys are in, but time zone was a little bit of an issue on my last team because they were all Europe or East Coast. So just a heads up, I'm not ignoring anything, I'm just not awake yet :)
Hello Team! I'm in Arizona too. Last round was my first time in a team challenge. I saw that the team that won last time read their last books in a day! Wow! (Sheila, we're you on that winning team?) So I'm going to try to finish my books much faster this round.

Any suggestions for a team name or captain?

Let me think about team names. My only request is that I'm not team captain. I've been having to work 50 to 60 hour weeks, plus I'm in school (graduate in May) and I'm also planning a wedding for June, so I'm already juggling a lot. I can read a book in a day or two so there isn't a problem with me reading fast, I just don't want to be captain and be responsible with so much else going on.

Yes, it's my wedding and I'm very excited but at the same time I'm ready for it to be over. It's exhausting.
Congratulations on your upcoming nuptuals, Jennifer! I hope your wedding turns out beautifully. I vote for Sheila for team leader since her team won last time. Good luck for us! :). I'm drawing a blank on name ideas, but I'll keep thinking.
Here are a few name ideas:
The Lucky Ones
Ready Player Ones
The Power of Ones
The Right Ones
Love the Ones You're With

Thank you! I hope so too. I also agree, Sheila for president lol

Actually since I am recently retired being the captain of our team isn't a big deal.
I also very much like The Lucky Ones. So if everyone agrees I will be the proud captain of The Lucky Ones.
I will pm Lisa tomorrow night if she hasn't checked in yet by then.
Sheila, are you in the group, Pick-A-Shelf? I know I've seen you somewhere on Goodreads before.

Not in that group Talia but Goodreads is my second home. My main challenge is The Seasonal Reading Challenge

That must be it! I'm in the Seasonal Reading Challenge too. I'm not very good at that challenge yet, but one of these seasons I hope to complete a good number of those tasks!

Great! It will be nice to see two faces I know on there whenever I get back to that challenge :).

I've declared 2014 the year of the series for me. My goal is to complete 30 series this year which is why this game is a perfect fit. I have so many series in play that no matter what number is rolled I have a series book that will fit the slot.

That's what I'm trying to do this year too. While I have so much going on, I'm trying to read all the cozy mystery series books that I have because they're shorter and don't take as much concentration. And I'm also trying to finish the Dresden Files series. I started it in November.

Hi Lisa. Nice to meet you. I'm pretty sure you can start by season, but I'll let Sheila tell you for sure since I'm more of a dabbler in that challenge. What part of Ohio are you in? I grew up there, in Kent. My uncle has a B&B in Ravenna.

I'm excited to get started. I think it will be very helpful that we are all in the US. The last challenge I was in had members in Serbia and Australia.

I'm about 15 miles east of Columbus. I'm trying to outlast the winter that will NOT end!

I anyone else doing the fate/quest challenge?"
I haven't done this challenge before , so just tell me what to read and I'll do it!---just like battleship haha. I tried to do the fate/quest challenge, but I am in SOOOOO many challenges and those books just were not fitting into my schedule.

No problem. I think it's a very reasonable and smart request.

What is the fate/quest challenge?

Oh nice. My cousin is a teacher in Columbus. I've been there before with my sister and brother in law. He used to work at this family Italian restaurant. I'll have to find out the name of it, but it was the best restaurant sauce I've ever had.

I anyone else doing the fate/quest challenge?"
What is the fate/quest challenge?"
3 different gr groups are doing a cross group challenge and you pick up quests along the way depending on which door you choose to go through so everyone participating will essentially be determining their own fate so to speak. It is an individual challenge sponsored by Wacky Reading Challenges ,
A Million More Pages , and All Challenges. It is pretty well designed. I am having a blast completing the quests. It is designed by Abbie who is doing this challenge as well.

I only found this one because it was suggested as a buddy read with my friend Betsy and I think it was kindle freebie. New author, new series.
Lots going on here and lots of snakes -eewwww. Let's see there is needy and incredibly stupid teenagers, parents that are a piece of work, a couple of psyches, a reporter that I wanted to choke and oh yes the MC, who is an FBI special agent trying to take down the killer and kidnapper of young women. Meanwhile her own daughter is sick and in the hospital so she is very conflicted whether to be on the job with the family or on the job with her team. I give it 4 stars.

Week 1 - Spot 9

Aunt Dimity: Snowbound by Nancy Atherton, Book #9 in the Aunt Dimity series.

Review: Lori is out taking a walk through the English countryside when an unexpected blizzard causes her to seek refuge in an abandoned abbey. There she encounters two other Americans who are also seeking shelter from the storm. But Lori grows suspicious that one of these hikers might actually be a burglar intending to rob the uninhabited home of its valuables. They meet the house's caretaker who tells them that the deceased owner of the house would never had let Americans stay there because of a great, mysterious betrayal that had taken place that the lady of the house never got over. What was this great betrayal, and why did it make the lady of the house hate Americans? And are these hikers really who they say they are, or is one of them a thief? I enjoyed this mystery. I guessed some things right but was completely wrong on a couple things. It was an enjoyable read.

I must be getting sick and tired of Paranormal YA because they are all starting to sound alike. Girl doesnt know she has physic powers, 2 boys come to earth to protect her, and the end is a cliff hanger. The cover is beautiful, but I won't be reading the sequel.
