You may not have noticed that Orwell has a photo on Goodreads. Be sure to include the author photo when it is available:

(Side note: I never knew that Orwell was born in India. Interesting.)

I read the Gutenberg download. This book gives a glimpse of life in the trenches and no mans land. Tries for the heroic face some "politically incorrect language" published in 1918 while the war was still on.

I hope you are able to join us for the "All Quiet on the Western Front", Patricrk. You've been reading some WWI stuff and your thoughts would really enhance the discussion.

Going well so far, I didn't have a lot of background in Argentine history so the first chapter has been giving me lots of food for thought. :)
I'm interested to see what the author does with communistic/socialist economies when he gets to them. I'm really enjoying the premise that there are choices along the path of history and frequently those choices aren't as clear as we like to make them in hindsight. ;)

Not sure it is non fiction actually; never mind historic - looks like fluff to me (lol)

so far so good and what has made me happy in the book is that the author gave the MC Noreen my birthday I have rarely have ever had that happen.
Hi Krystal...you have to add the author's link - everything else is fine.

Remember that you have to go back in to the author's section twice: first to add the photo and then again to add the link.

I'll be joining you on that one in a few days. Yea baseball!!! (By the way, is your team the Mariners? Not the best start this year indeed.)

I think you are going to love this book. I am 43 pages into it and totally hooked. Yes, cheering on the hometeam is often painful in Seattle and with the Mariners it is a study in disappointment with occasional flashes of brilliance (Felix Hernandez, last year's Cy Young award winner for example. Or Ichiro, who I think is an athletic genius.) We are off to a dismal start this year. But in baseball there is hope!
Krystal, I see I missed one. Please add all three segments when citing any book (bookcover, author's photo and always the author's link which is the author's name in linkable text)
You have to go back in to the author's tab and first add photo and then add link. You seem to have a handle on how to add the bookcover now.

I found the

An autobigraphical account of his love affair with the written word and the people who have made his reading life a joy. I'm about half way through and he expresses the joy of reading so well that I can't wait to get back to it.
