The description sounds funny, father taking baby for R&R in the Caribbean... hah! The cynical side of me is thinking that he's thinking of picking up chicks ;p
Thanks for the PM, Debi - guess what, I've already forgotten what I chose this morning, lol, good thing I've put a reminder on this thread. Will start tomorrow morning as I'm out this evening :)

I've finished my book, Drive By. 4.5 stars; terrifically complex twist with mind blowing conclusion. totally a work of genius! Highly recommended for crime fans. I just got a little frustrated at times with the characters but otherwise actually enjoyed their voices...
I've sent Dionisia a pm for her turn.

Sorry ladies, this weekend was both my dad's 84th birthday and my oldest son's 25th birthday. As a result, I did not get ANY reading done at all. I am just starting The Wife, the Maid, and the Mistress by Ariel Lawhon and No Safe House by Linwood Barclay. Since both were published in 2014, I will use whichever one I finish first. Let you know as soon as I finish.
Dee wrote: "I guess I need to figure my book out then..."
that shouldn't be hard, Dee... I'm sure you have stacks on review books to be read :)

question, can an ARC that will be published in 2014 count? or does it already need to be out...
Turns out that my Linwoood Barclay book is not really a stand alone, so I am waiting to get the preceding book from the library today or tomorrow. But I did just finish The Wife, the Maid, and the Mistress for this challenge. WHOOHOO! The book was great, based on the true life disappearance of Judge Joe Crater in 1930, an event the precipitated the fall of Tammany Hall in NYC. It was well written and got me interested enough in this incident that I already ordered two other books about it from the library.
Dee you are UP!
Dee you are UP!

Just Not Mine
Interesting! Had to add it since it's set in NZ... don't see many of those around. Have you enjoyed the whole series so far, Dee?
Checked out the first book... male protagonist being the All Blacks Captain? hhmm... YUM! ;D

I bought To Rise Again at a Decent Hour by Joshua Ferris during my coastal vacation from an independent seller in Solvang, CA. Will start tonight.

Debi - No worries, it isn't even your turn for a while. Currently it is Dee who is reading. Grace was just asking Dee and Amy to read slow so that her books have time to get here. So you still have a bit of time. Dee has to finish, then Amy, then Grace.

Oh well, it's a reading bonanza at my house. :P

That always happens to me, Debi. It's either feast or famine!

lol - is that a hint, Amy?
It'll be sometime soon... ha ha ha

Subtle as a sledgehammer...LOL

I'm going to read: The Moor: Lives, Landscape, Literature by William Atkins published earlier this year.
It has lots of L's in it and it's already been shelved under nature twice so it's a great fit for my scatter shelves. :)

Anyhow, it's Tien's turn. Will msg her.

I've finished Mothers Grimm. 3.5 stars - actually is very good but bad timing for me. Reading about just how tough motherhood can be (even by loose fairy tale retelling) is harsh when I'm facing birth pains and sleepless nights in less than 7 weeks!
Dionisia is next.

Not a problem, Dionisia. Thanks for letting us know. Hope things are 'insane' for you in a good way & settling down soon :)

I got ya covered!
Thanks for letting us know right away. Hope things calm down for you soon. :)
For the last book of the game, I will be reading Little Mercies, which I was going to start today anyway. Good timing.
