I even went to library yesterday and none of the books I was interested in were kept at my library. All required transfers. Well, starting it now with the morning coffee until the gbaby gets up and wants attention.

That looks kinda depressing...
I've chosen Gone Girl for my award winning book and I actually own a copy so I'll be ready whenever you finish, Debi :)

ohh enjoy!!

Tien is up.
Thanks for the PM, Debi. am out & about (left that book at home ;p) so I'll start when I get home later.
eeep, sorry, I'm barely halfway! The book just isn't grabbing me... I even peeked at the ending to see whether I should jump ship and pick a new book or keep going. *oops!*
It's not that bad though I'm just sort of 'meh' about it all... I'll do my best to focus and knuckle down to finish it tomorrow!

Right, I did it, I finished the book! Unfortunately, don't think I enjoyed it as much as Debi & Dee. I was too annoyed at both characters and the ending, ick.
It's your turn, Dionisia.

It's your turn, Dionisia."
Ya, neither of the protagonist were cuddly people for sure. I've read all of Gillian Flynn's books and the other ones are far darker than Gone Girl.

Dee wrote: "i think its one of those books where you have to be in the right frame of mind, for me, I was looking for a mind-fuck (for lack of a better word) when I read it"
I think you're right, Dee, I did feel like I really wasn't it the mood for it. I just wanted to bang their heads together :p

Just to let you all know, Dionisia acknowledged my PM within a day and I've just PM her again to check where she's at. Hopefully she'll respond tomorrow or we may have to skip her this time. In which case, Lyn's up though she doesn't seem to be around lately (holidays, I'm assuming)...

Dionisia wrote: "Hello fellow hopscotchers! Should be finished with How To Sharpen Pencils by David Rees by tomorrow."
awesome! Thanks for checking in, Dionisia :)

I'm here. Lots of life stuff getting in the way in my world, not all good, either. But I will be ready when Dionisia is finished. Sorry for being so absent. It has been a horrible month of June so far....

Sorry to hear things are rough for you this month. Hopefully things will turn around soon.
I'm up. Perusing my shelves to decide what book to read. I will be back in a few with my selection.
I never came back here to say what book I was going to read, but I finished it last night. I read Three Strikes and You're Dead, a Murder She Wrote book. It was cute and quick, actually just what I needed right now.

Barefoot by the Sea - 392 ratings, published Jan 2013
Playing Dirty - 275 ratings, Oct 2013
Dee wrote: "Can I do both? I can decide!!!"
lol- you can though you still have to start reading one before the other... unless you can read both AT the SAME time? ;p
I vote for Barefoot by the Sea :)

I PM'd Amy to let her know

Never mind...just got back from the library with book in hand. I'll start reading tonight and keep you posted on my progress.

I've finally finished my book. Sorry that I took a while. It was very good but hard to read. I'm not surprised it didn't have many ratings.
Debi is up next. I've sent her a message. :)

I would think that if it was 490 when you ordered it, it will still work.
