Cover of book: looked like a maze of different color pipes
What I remember: everyone was categorized by color. You were born in a certain group. The reds, blues, yellows etc. I think there was a gray group as well w no pigment.
From what I remember they had color pigments and they used them to color the grass flowers etc. main character is a young boy trying to figure out life. They also had these color cards that you could look at and you would kind of get high.
Bizarre book w made up language but very cool.
