Middle of chapter 10 (view spoiler)[ So I kind of knew the thing about Jordan, but I'm not sure I remember where I found out about him dying. I feel like his death has affected Simon more than Maia. But I'm totally ready for a Maia/Bat pairing. By the way, that Rufus dude is a jerk and needs to be taken down, I hope Bat beats him at the duel.
So Clary seemed a little more shallow than I remember. She kept talking about how Jace was so hot and sexy in the first couple chapters and I was like please stop. But now it's all good and I'm glad she has her own sword, she needed one.
Sebastian is such an ass and I hope he dies by the end of this!!! Seriously, he needs to not. I was so happy when Jace slightly burned him with the heavenly fire- that was awesome.
OH MY GOD JEM IS ALIVE NOW!!!!! :D I love my precious peanut and I'm so happy. Tessa where are you lovely?? I wonder if Jem will talk with Emma and like adopt her or something, that would be marvelous.
I like Raphael a little bit, he's growing on me. I really hope he, Magnus, Luke and Jocelyn will be okay and that Meliorn won't kill them!!! Don't you hurt my precious babies!

Up to Chapter 17 (view spoiler)[ I loved the duel and how badass Maia was when she challenged Rufus! The scene with Jace and Alec having a heart to heart made me smile so much as they are my favourite best friend pairing from any series I've ever read.
I don't know if this is just me, but I don't remember Sister Magdelena being killed? I love finding more about Emma ready for Lady Midnight, I love hers and Julian's relationship especially seeing how the idea to become Parabatai comes to them. (hide spoiler)]

Up to Chapter 21 (I have less than 200 pages left!!) (view spoiler)[ OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SIMON SAVED IZZY AND THEN CLARY AND JACE DID YOU KNOW WHAT AND THEN ALEC WAS LIKE MY EYES!!! Cries and squeals from happiness of the sexy times. I laughed so hard when Alec described being bitten to Simon as sexy time. I almost died, it was so hilarious. One thing I super love about this book is just how much it grabs my attention. There's intense fight scenes and crazy action, but then there's still time for relationships and heart to hearts. Btw that Alec/Jace conversation was the best thing ever!!
I'm now wondering if Raphael is dead? Like I know he got stabbed, but will it kill him, it was metal/silver not necessarily holy. I was so proud of him when he refused to kill Magnus. I was like precious Raphie I know you care, don't let Sebastian use you! He made the right choice in the end. :)
Also super proud of Maia, leading the pack and being a general badass--you go girl! I love how her and Lily worked together and took down Maureen. That little devil was starting to get on my nerves. But now she's gone and there is basically a three way alliance with the downworlders.
I'm excited to see how this will end and then get my hands on lady midnight to see what happens with Julian/Emma/Mark! (hide spoiler)]

I finished yesterday but only just got around to posting (view spoiler)[ I was almost crying when Simon sacrificed his immortalilty and his memories of the Shadow World but after he handed Clary the poster for his band and I realised he subconciously remembered I squealed! I love that they were all reunited even if he doesn't remember everything.
MALEC AHHHHH, I was so happy when they got back together and I feel like it was a great way to end the book especially seeing Sebastian as Jonathan with no evil in him apologising. (hide spoiler)]

Courtney- He has some really good one liners in this book it was awesome. He also seemed to open up a lot more than I remembered which was nice. I think he developed a lot since CoB.

That first bit of the children in the Institute with Sebastian was absolutely terrifying, and I barely knew the kids.
