It wasn't everything I hoped it would be.. I gave it 4.2 stars and I think it really should have been less but I just love the characters and love the way Cassie brings everything together.. But all in all it wasn't a great read

As for the deaths and the weddings, I figure that:

Part I: I am worried like the last Harry Potter that many favorite characters are going to die. (view spoiler)[I like Jace meditating with Jordan. Jordan dying in Maia's arms was so sad. They are my favorite TMI couple. Impressive that Maia killed Rufus when he challenged Bat (in Luke's place) for the leadership of the pack.

Alec pining over Magnus was so annoying since he so deserved to be left. I hope Magnus isn't too sad. Magnus' ever changing apartment is so cool!

Jace is the safest boyfriend ever. Jace is banned from getting angry, sexual advances and anything causing an adrenaline rush.

I was happy when the Scooby gang found out the Seelie Queen was allied with Sebastian. All Downworld representatives disappear: Meliorn (faery), Luke (werewolves) & Jocelyn, Raphael (vampires) and Magnus Bane (warlocks).

Sad that half-fairy Mark Blackthorn joined the Wild Hunt, because he thought all of his family was dead. (hide spoiler)]

Part II: Some cool things in this section. (view spoiler)[The dream demon feeding off everyone's deepest wishes was cool and a great way into everyone's minds.

Clary saves Jace from burning up in the heavenly fire. What happened? So how come Clary and Jace can be together?

Simon saves Isabelle from demon bite. I didn't realize that vampire blood would heal people and not turn them.

Poor Alec, he's broken hearted and he's surrounded by Jace and Clary and Izzy and Simon. I'm so glad that Magnus and Alec get back together.

Cool plan to get the skeptron and destroy all the demons. Final Sebastian plan was good.

So irritating that the Shadowhunters are sending Helen Blackthorn away because she has faery blood. Then the only way Emma Carstairs can stay with Jules is to become his parabatai, but parabatai cannot fall in love.

Epilogue: (view spoiler)[It is so sad that Simon doesn't remember Clary and Isabelle. It would be crushing to love someone who doesn't even know you. This is why Alzheimer's is such a devastating disease. Memory tampering is seldom perfect, so can they find a loop hole?

Interesting that Robert Lightwood's parabatai, Michael Wayland was gay and in love with him. You can't be romantically involved with your parabatai, I wouldn't think it would matter if it was same sex or opposite sex.

Jace chooses to be a Herondale instead of a Wayland or Lightwood. Tessa Gray gave Jace a Herondale ring and Clary a Codex. What was the significance of the Codex?

I thought it was cool that everyone embraced their passions. Clary was painting again. Jace played piano at the reception. Simon was back in his band. And all the couples are together: Clary & Jace, Magnus & Alex, Luke & Jocelyn, Tessa & Zachariah and maybe Izzy & Simon and Maia & Bat.

I just started reading this book and I have to say I don't like all the new young characters. I feel like it's too late to add them in with it being the last book of the series. I just don't really care about them.

I saw someone else mentioned there being a lot of crossover w/ "Clockwork Princess". Should I have read that book first? I haven't read any of that series. Just TMI.

Someone told me to read the first 3 TMI, 3 TID, then the rest of TMI. But even following this plan, I still thought there were too many new characters introduced in this book. And just too many people to keep track of.
