Allegaint is being split into 2 parts, what do you think about this? http://variety.com/2014/film/news/lio...

I think Lionsgate is putting eggs in a basket with a hole at the bottom.

Lionsgate made a statement saying they were splitting the last book into two films because it "makes more sense from a story-telling perspective" but let's face it: they just want our $$$

i don't know how they are going to really be successful in breaking allegiant into 2, but given how they think that they can make so much more money from another movie, i'm not surprised. i think that i'll have to re-read it to get a sense of where they could make the break at the end of part 1 then....interesting.

Alliegant doesn't even compare to Mockingjay!!! Just from the disaster that was Divergent, I wouldn't waste my time nor money on watching the rest of this trilogy. Lionsgate is shamelessly banking on audience who will jump on the dystopian bandwagon.

Books like Allegiant and Mockingjay can be condensed enough for one film. The only reason they're splitting is to make more money. It's unnecessarily drawing out the big finale. I wonder what they're going to add to fill the time.

I think that it's smarter to split Insurgent into two books, rather than Allegiant.

They've done this to every YA adaptation since Deathly Hallows. That one was justified because it's a whopping 784 pages. But film companies just want to make more money.

i can see why they would split it...but hey at least it gets transformed into a movie...still i kind of dont really want to watch it with the way it ended...:(:(:(..uuuuhhhh

Yeah it would be king pointless. I think it was good as one book and would be a good movie. If it's made into two it might drag on be a little boring.

This is off topic, but check this out guys! http://www.wattpad.com/story/14804848...

UGH ever since Harry Potter, every freaking last movie-based-off-book is being split in two. Breaking Dawn made a lot of since, because the book was highly eventful and split in two POV's. But MOCKINGJAY????? That book was sooooo boring, and very short. I have no faith in the movies being good.

Only if they changed the end

Okay, so I know this is a little late, and all, but I think that maybe Bobby Morley would have been a better Four, look wise. He looks younger for one, and he has the dark hair. Then he also has the body for it. What do ya'll think?

I don't see the point in splitting allegiant in 2. Nothing much happens.

Oh my god this is such a bad idea ...

I'm not sure what I think... There isn't much of Allegient that NEEDS to be split into two. UNLESS (and this is just a thought) the writers were considering to go into depth on how they got to the point of holding experiments with factions. I can only see the movie being put into two parts if they are going to fill in some of the holes and questions that were left at the end of the book while sticking to Roth's idea. If they add a little bit of background, it could possibly add to the story instead of messing it up.

*two FILMS (sorry)

I don't care if they split it into two parts, as long as they don't make it longer just to split up the movie. That would be kind of stupid.

I liked the Divergent movie a lot (along with all of the books obviously) but I don't see how they would make it into two parts as I don't see a really good splitting part. Also watching Tris die is going to make me really sad when it does come out in 1 part or 2 parts :(

is it not how mokinjay will release too? i think splitting will give them the time and space necessary to decide how they will bring about the climax.

I personally think that Insurgent should be split into two, not Allegiant. I feel like there's just a lot more that happens in Insurgent than in Allegiant and I don't see how they'll be able to fit all of that into one movie without messing it up.
