Kirsten (kmcripn) It's April!

April's flower is the daisy and the sweet pea
The birthstone for April is the diamond and the white sapphire.
Did you know the moon this month can also be called the Egg Moon, the Grass Moon, or the Hare Moon?
Did you know the world April means "open"?

This month in history:
The dollar sign ($) was invented in 1778
The Great San Francisco Earthquake struck in 1906
The zipper was patented in 1913.

That is so funny! I held off on jokes this year. Last year I told a dear friend of mine that I was pregnant on April Fools day. Needless to say he about had a heart attack. At our age babies are grown not being born unless they are grand babes.

Same here with Amazon. I was lost for a bit. Goodreads has been different too. Top that off the Overlook App the libraries use for digital media updated and looks so different. Beginning to think the internet is out to fry my brain.

message 4738: by Lynn Renee (last edited Apr 01, 2015 10:46PM) (new)

Lynn Renee | 1708 comments I don't watch a lot of TV but I turn on the HGTV channel a lot, something in the background. Interesting to see what other countries are like. Really shocked at rental prices though compared to the U.S.A. Currently a couple is looking for a home and their rental budget is $3,300 per month. That is 4.4 x my income. I don't see how people can afford it.

message 4743: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mccall this will mean nothing to anyone but me but I am on a high from crossfit tonight. it was a cracking workout and I pushed myself really really hard to get through the workout which was four rounds for time and I completed it in just over 22 mins :)

we had also done a strength work out prior to that to find our one rep max on power clean. the big thing for me is that when I got home I checked my book that I keep a record of all my workouts and max results and discovered that my last max for this was 37.5kg and tonight I maxed out at 47.5kg

given that I was out for over three months due to injury and struggled to get motivated and back to it this is a mega achievement for me :D so am doing a happy dance lol or I would be if I could still stand!!
