Jenni - what a delightful story! I refer to the smaller of my dogs as "little man" for a nickname.

Jenni Boyd | 152 comments Yay, so excited, the library finally has my copy of 'The Perfect Husband' by Lisa Gardner, so love her books, and yes Ter'e I will try W.E.B Griffin, just had to read these last four Lisa Gardner books, and then I'm going to try some new authors. Thanks again for the rec. Sean, I might never have read her books otherwise :)

Jenni that is adorable!

message 4006: by E. (new)

E. | 653 comments Jenni that was a great story. I'm surprised you found the owner so easily.
Birds are great. I've always had birds...along with dogs, cats, a ferret and iguana, even had an exotic fish shop for a few years. Right now only a dove and a relatively new cockatiel that has learned to bark.

message 4007: by Jenni (new)

Jenni Boyd | 152 comments E, an iguana and a ferret, what made you choose them as pets? As for locating the owner so easily, I live in a small community, which is quickly growing, and most people look out for one another. One day after talking to a neighbour, she suggested I join the local Facebook page, which has been very helpful in many ways, people posting about lost or found pets or items, and just recently with the heavy rains, letting everyone know what roads, and bridges were flooded, even the occasional person asking if they could hitch a ride because they have no car. The young girl who was looking for 'little man' had put up posters, which I never saw, as I had not left home for a few days, so thankfully for the fb page they were reunited. Sorry for babbling, I do that sometimes :)

About Aaron -
He has been obnoxious in some groups that I've belong to, but he is a nice guy when he's up. I didn't know about the depression - it now makes sense. I hope he's alright and that he comes back when he's ready

Re .. A final note on Aaron.

Have been reading carefully and know Janet had explained well about Aaron problems

I think here after this we should bring the subject to an end.

Aaron was a member here previously, and was banned by myself, a difficult decision, but as mentioned he can be a little extreme with some posts.

As Janet mentioned when he returned I messaged him a few times and he agreed to be on his best behaviour.

And I would like to say he was, and was a credit to the group, it seems he is having great difficulty getting a job and his depression he has really struggled with.

I think he joined many groups and posted loads on many, but as mentioned this helped him with his depression and struggles.

I hope he is okay and which him all the best, he always had good intentions and thoughts, just sometimes went a little to far.

Titas, it takes a lot of maturity to admit, publicly, being ashamed of something you've said or done, and then make a public apology. Well done!

Titas! You didn't do anything wrong and I never said you did. I knew where you were coming from and in fairness to many others and yourself you didn't know Aaron's history. Why would you? So stop beating yourself up, no one is judging you and focus on the positives. That, my dear, IS AN ORDER!!!

I never said anyone judged me or you said anything Janet.

Anyway, as I am an Emperor and thus know the value of a proper ORDER, I will shut up happily! :D

[That last part of your comment about "That, IS AN ORDER" was really scary!]

Ty Patterson | 401 comments i have been checking out Archer Mayor's Joe Gunther books and one caught my attention.

Proof Positive, Kindle edition, listed on Amazon at $23.65.

that's either a pricing error or Archer Mayor has such a diehard following that his fans will buy his books at any cost.

I made that mistake once upon a time. Not a couch, but a huge wooden door with 16 glass panes in it, probably from the 40's. Someone had been renovating and set it out by the street. I loved it. Little did I know it was home to something that took me weeks to get out of my house. I still have the door, 10 years later, but every time I look at it I remember the horror.

on a happier note I managed to do 60 clean and jerk with 25kg and 60 box jumps tonight in under 20 mins - then add in a 1000metre row and that was my workout - awesome :D

How cute, they always remind me of walking pom poms, being so fluffy, my friend has one, a very intelligent dog, swear she is human sometimes, they call her Oreo, don't know why, because she is not black and white.

Can't stand small dogs. Love the medium size ones, though. My girl is only 40 lbs and a sweetie! She's nearly 16 and can still walk 1-2 miles a day!
