Something is going on, as ALL his comments have gone.

Not sure if he has left, or asked to leave?

Don't know. Maybe GR finally booted him out. I mean he was behaving himself here, but may not have been elsewhere.

message 3953: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mccall we could write a new mystery - what happened to aaron? did he go willingly? did he get whisked out and never knew what happened?

dun dun duuuuun....

message 3954: by Kerry (new)

Kerry Hunter (kerryelizabeth) Dawn I hope you start to feel better soon!

and my thoughts are all with everyone struggling right now. I'm feeling much better today than I was yesterday and I'm sure you guys here have something to do with it, so thank you x

I'm 5% into a book and I'm seriously struggling. I don't know what to do. I can't get a feel for the writing at all. :-(

life is too short to struggle with books that are unreadable, or just uninteresting. There are so many potentially great ones waiting to be read! Abandon it Janet, and don't feel guilty. Someone out there will love it. 8:D

The author sent me a copy. :-( :-( :-(

Sandysbookaday (taking a step back for a while) (sandyj21) | 5101 comments Janet wrote: "The author sent me a copy. :-( :-( :-("

Which makes it all the more difficult..perhaps just e-mail them back and thank them kindly and just say that the book is not to your taste, and as such you will not review it, but you wish them well with it. 8:D

We could make it a cosy - with an egg whisk as the murder weapon......8:D

Yeah, Sandy, I think I might have to. I did download the ebook version cos the typeface was so small so that's something. Covered the cost of the postage at least.

It is no secret Aaron has major depression. I think GR significantly helped him cope. I'm concerned about him...

message 3962: by Freda (new)

Freda Malone | 418 comments I agree with Christine. I was really hoping the HOT SEAT would help him cope and I think it might have overwhelmed him? I don't know. I'm concerned as well. I didn't spot any indiscretions here...he wasn't arguing with anyone that I know of...he seemed very lonely and posted a lot. I hope he is okay.

Ditch it,Janet, life's too short unless it's one of mine,in which case keep going;it will get better!

There is a record,I believe,of misbehaving in other groups.

Heather Burnside (goodreadscomheather_burnside) | 385 comments Just catching up with everyone's posts after a busy weekend. Sorry to hear that Aaron has disappeared - that's a shame. I had no idea about his depression. He seemed a fun guy and was having a laugh with Christine last week.
I'm sorry to hear about your difficulties with diabetes too Sean and Kerry. It must be a difficult illness to manage - sending you good wishes and hoping you keep well. :)

Jean | 2387 comments Hahaha! Glad you remembered to include St Urho! I grew up in an area of Minnesota that had a large Finnish population, and folks told a lot of "Finlander" jokes, but I never heard of St Urho until I went to Bemidji for college! As you can well imagine, he was greatly overshadowed by St Pat.

I support his idea.
Rule: Each will write 2 sentences and the next one has to continue from that.. For more freedom, we will use the name Baaron ok? I'll start then.

"Baaron tried to log in again and again but the page kept refreshing itself. After 8 or 9 failed attempts, he sensed something is wrong."

(If the moderators find this insulting or disturbing, we will not continue.)

Id rather not fun was made of Aaron. The guy has issues and I think we've only got part of the story. So let's leave it there and hope he's going to be ok. Like him or loathe him he's still human.

message 3976: by [deleted user] (new)

I think I would find that offensive if people did that to me, so it's not something we should do to Aaron.

Treat others as we'd like to be treat ourselves and all that.

:)

But still, I apologize to any and all if I have caused any trouble. Guilty as charged.

[PS Where did Sharon go after feeding me the sweet and lusty bait of this story idea :( ]

Look folks, don't get me wrong, not having a go at anyone and truth is Aaron didn't just cross the line he went over it by miles, on many an occasion!! But I can't help thinking there are underlying issues that we're not fully aware of. Sean and I said that we would give him another chance and see how things go. Bottom line is I don't want to see anyone here hurt because if anyone is then I've failed. So no taking it personally anyone. NOT AT ALL. If he's got good support around him he'll be fine.

Now .... who's up for a group hug?!!! :)

And I hope I didn't cause anyone any offence with the egg whisk comment.....If I did I apologise unreservedly.

Patricia | 1266 comments Sorry to read that Aaron has gone. Perhaps a public forum such as Goodreads was not something he could deal with at this time. Hope he has help and support and can sometime return. For myself, I never had any or noticed any problems with him.

Hugs to everyone. We can all use some kindness.

message 3996: by DianeAlice (new)

Jenni Boyd | 152 comments This is not related to the current thread, but just wanted to tell about my surprise visitor the other night, I hope that is okay. I was cooking dinner and kept hearing a tapping noise, followed by a strange sound. I checked the front door, no one. Went back into the kitchen, and suddenly noticed something yellow at the glass door, it was a little love bird, he was tapping away madly on the glass with his beak, I opened the door, and he walked in, almost muttering, 'it's about bloody time!' I quickly went on my community facebook page, and soon found out his owner had been looking for him for two days. Well while I waited for her to arrive, he followed me around like a shadow, even sat on the couch with me to watch TV. The girl was ever grateful, but I kinda missed the little guy when he left. By the way, his name was 'little man'
