Partly set. They are in jail, the conditions are hard. A drink for friends on here was just a start.

Kirsten (kmcripn) I'm sorry, A.J. Tata, if Glenn Beck and Newt Gingrich are recommending your book, it only makes me think all copies should be destroyed.

Kirsten (kmcripn) His book keeps on showing up on the GoodReads home page. It has blurbs from Gingrich, Beck, and Brad Thor. I just had to vent.

Love the way you think Jean! I did have yesterday off though, all state employees were off due to snow and today we had a 2 hour delay. This is one of the reasons I like snow.

Now that one is hilarious! I wish I had known. I would have definately brought an action figure to work just to be silly. Heck, I might have even dressed as one.

I love these. Happy Middle Name Pride Day! - mine is Ann and I sometimes wish it was my first name. Annie or Anna maybe. Anyway, I knew someone who at the age of 50 changed her first name. She said at half a century, she wanted something new!

Mine's Maureen. It's also my mom's middle name. I used to laugh and tell my mom that all her girlfriends had two first names. (Like Mary Pat.) Maybe that's because people had more money in the 50s?

What's the magic cure for keeping mould at bay in bathrooms?! In fact, why don't they come self cleaning?! Why don't houses come self cleaning?!

*Said whilst dying of bleach fumes*

Do you have a window to crack open everyday? A fan in the ceiling? I get it a lot too if the boys forget to open the window after a shower. When I clean the mold, I spray bleach on it and let it dry (no wiping) to keep the mold at bay. I feel for you, you're not alone!

There are a lot of elderly people who live in my apartment building. The number of women named Mary is very high. If someone asks have you seen Mary? You have to tell them you need more info lol.

LOL, I can imagine that! That's funny.

I was named after my grandmother. She was 'big' Freda (but she this short, thin, petite looking lady), and I was 'little Freda. The family had to change it around when I became bigger than her, so the story goes. It always made me feel fat! lol

So funny... My Grandfather moved into my parents house. My children called their Great Grandfather "Little Pappy" and their Grandfather "Big Pappy".

Watched some great doubles this afternoon, with a Davis Cup match USA v Great Britain.

Amazingly Britain are 2-1 up, with Andy Murray winning as expected but a fantastic win for James Ward world number 111 v John Isner world number 20.

James Ward won in 5 hours in five sets.

The British just lost the doubles, but fought all the way and again went to five sets.

Get ready for tomorrow afternoon.

Beautiful day so took a friends dog our for a run/walk for 6 miles.

Freda Malone | 418 comments Well, I finally got plugged into NetGalley and found a couple of books to request. We'll see how it goes.

Weather is warming up! Yippie! Snow is melting, slight breeze and opened my windows today to air out the scent of dog, cooking, stale coffee, dust bunnies, cigarette smoke and flatulence that had accumulated over the winter months. Phew!

My reading is slowing down a bit too I noticed but it can be expected when the weather changes and I can finally walk everywhere I need to go. Mazie is enjoying it too. It is so funny to watch her butt wiggle so hard that it almost gives us the illusion of her hips no longer attached to her body. Her squirrel friends are out and about as well so I can expect her to do some pulling on the leash for a couple of weeks until her nose gets its fill of the critters. They don't like her when she eats the bread left out by the neighbors who are so old they only have the squirrels to entertain them.

Planning BBQ's, concerts and spring/summer activities for the boys. The video games need a cooling off period. Still no car but it's not as big a deal as my friends seem to think. It's like looking for a boyfriend, gotta find us the right one. I enjoy the walks and might even shed a few lbs in the process!

Hope all is well with you!

I find the easiest way to keep my house clean is to move frequently *smile*...i think i must be due to do it again. Life is far too short to be spent cleaning - there are far too many good books waiting to be read! 8:D

My middle name is Fay - have no idea where it came from, but6 have always HATED it! I had one aunt who insisted on calling me "Fairy Fay" *shudder/grimace*. I was a tomboy!

E - you could be making meatballs after your nap....

Enjoy your walking Freda! We are a one car household. I usually walk to and from work (1/2 hour each way) and love it. It's my winding down period on the way home, and on the way to work there are a lot of people I stop and chat to. You can't do that in a car! 8:D

Here is my message to Linda Castillo, and the sentence that I thought had a mistake.

Linda has now replied to me.

Hi

I just finished Gone Missing, gave it 4 stars.

Now reading Her Last Breath.

I think I found a mistake am I right ?

Page 20, Chapter Two.

" I know the bedrooms are upstairs and the Troyers are getting up in "years", so I open the screen door and use my Maglite to knock"

I am sure it should be "in hours"

Just thought it sounded wrong, but love the book

regards

Sean
