Sharon Mccall nah it wasn't a fun game - it was too cold and instead of the wrong trousers I had the wrong shoes

message 3302: by Jean (new)

Jean | 2387 comments Cold is no fun at all, especially for the goalie, I imagine, since there's so little moving compared to the other players. Hope you can curl up in a cozy spot with a book and a hot drink.

message 3303: by Sharon (new)

I am in withdrawal systems Sharon....

I usually play tennis 3 times a week..

Been off work for two weeks with a bad virus effecting my diabetes.

I am suffering terribly with frustration. As a sportsperson you know what it is like. I have had to turn down 5-6 matches in the last two weeks.

Next week back to work, so back to walking 12-14 miles a day, back to snooker, then next week already booked up for tennis !!

Although getting soft in my old age, I get spoiled as I play tennis mostly indoors !

Ter'e Crow Lindsay (terecrow) | 798 comments Gosh, how nice to be catching up a little bit.
Someone mentioned hot drink and it made me think of the fresh whipped cream we have and that led me to thinking about a good Irish Coffee. But, at 2:53 a.m. I doubt that my hubbs would appreciate me making a pot of coffee. Sure sounds good tho.

Our house is going back on the market. Should be live on Tuesday or Wed. The Photographer is coming today. I have things pretty clean, will just have to do run thru, spot dust, steam floors and hide the foo-fah that our Realtor does not want out. I have this beautiful ceramic rooster in my kitchen.......Brando seems to think I need to hide it. The fight is on. I love my rooster. Kitchen is pretty bare now, I have stripped almost everything.........but I think the rooster has to stay.
Wish us LUCK!!!! 90 day contract. If it doesn't sell this time, we will stay in FL.

Lynn Renee | 1708 comments Question: When contacted by an author requesting you do an honest review of their book, what would be a respectful time frame to be finished?

message 3346: by Sean, Moderator (new)

Sean Peters | 10540 comments Mod
I used to always watch the Oscars right through the night, but now I find easy to tape and just run forward

message 3347: by Ty (new)

Ty Patterson | 401 comments Lynn wrote: "Question: When contacted by an author requesting you do an honest review of their book, what would be a respectful time frame to finished?"

putting on my author hat, Lynn, asap is the answer :)

the immediacy of reviews is important.

authors usually come seeking reviews for books that are just published or about to be published or have a book that needs love.

however, authors do realize that readers read gazillion books and that their book is not the center of a reader's universe.

i appreciate emails from reviewers saying that they can or cannot review my book in xyz time frame.

hope this helps.

I second what Ty says and just want to add that authors really appreciate readers who make the time and effort to leave reviews. :)
