Christine wrote: "Sue and Heather, I have Niagara Falls on my bucket list. Is it worth a see? Did you see the guy who ice picked up the frozen portion in a hour the other day? Sheer ice!"Yes, definitely Christine, but I would suggest in the spring or fall. In the summer there are a lot of excursions to Niagara Falls. Yes, I saw it on the news, the guy that climbed, ice picking up the falls. At night they put the lights on over the falls and it is beautiful. Most people take a tour of Niagara Falls, and then go on to Niagara-On-The-Lake, (Wineries, apple picking and fresh veggies at the farm).
Christine,
Niagara Falls are a must, just awe aspiring site, go on the boat ride underneath as well, and inside is brilliant.

I would love to hike the Grand Canyon ( not camp out, but hike in segments). It has been a life long dream for me. I would also love to see one of the many islands. St.John, St. Thomas, The Caymans, HAWAII!!!

Hubby and I spent our honeymoon in Niagara Falls in 1999. We belong to a few wine clubs in the area so we travel there quite a bit. So beautiful! We will be there in May to celebrate our anniversary and go to the Niagara Gourmet Food and Wine Show at the Scotiabank Convention Centre

Christine wrote: "Thanks, Sue and Sean. On the bucket list it stays!"Oops sorry Christine, I missed your previous message. It's been a chaotic couple of days. I wasn't brave enough to go on the boat but I did go underneath the falls in a big rain mac. I don't know whether they still do that but it was fun. :)

Yes, ladies "The Maiden of the Mist" (The Boat Cruise) is still the most popular attraction, for 1-1.5 hrs. Everyone goes on this.
Have you guys heard that there is going to be a sequel to ..To Kill A Mockingbird?http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/03/living/...
I've just spent the last two days researching smartphones 3g/4g phone comparisons, operating software ..... utterly fed up, but got there in the end!
This may not be the place for this, but I hope you do not mind. Could everyone say a prayer, send a good vibe, or thought, or whatever you do or believe our way this week and weekend? I just lost my grandmother this morning at 6:14 am, she was my last grandparent. She taught me how to cook, how to bake, she told me to never to give my recipes away because, "Autumn, you will always have something they cannot do, and they can never take that away from you." You was a voracious reader and taught me to love to read. She bought me my first set of Nancy Drew and my subscription to Reader's Digest from 4th grade until I was in college. She had the coolest, smoothest skin, she had the softest best hugs, and smelled of Calvin Klein's Obsession. I loved her so much. She had a way of making you feel so special. I will miss her beyond words and find comfort in knowing I will see her and my paw paw again one day. I know this morning this is the conversation in Heaven, "Well, Betty Jean... what took you so long?" And I can hear her saying, "Tommy!" I will miss her laughter, her love, her passion for true crime TV, and just her love for life. Thank you for thinking of us.
Sorry for your loss Autumn, may she rest in peace, i m sure you will keep her in your heart, and her memory will give you strength you need in your life.

So sorry Autumn for your loss.
Losing someone we love is one of the hardest things in life.
Our thoughts are with you

Thank you so much, everyone for your kind words. You are right! Nannas, Maw Maws, Grannys, they are all special, special ladies. They teach us all about life and love, how to be women or how to treat them. They make each of us, no matter how many grandkids there are, feel like we are the special one. I will never make a cake without thinking of her, buy my future children their first books without thinking of her, or watch true crime on TV without hearing her voice going over the details again and again. She is gone on this earthly home for now, but she will never be missed or forgotten.
That is why every day is extra and special, and we must give thanks for having this extra time. I just received a phone call from one of my friends telling me someone I worked with for 25 years, just died of Melanoma. I recognize that life should be treasured, and the memories will never be forgotten.Take care Autumn.
I bet y'all didn't think I could stay quiet for so long. Yes, it happens.Just checking in so you won't think I croaked.......I am two weeks behind in reading messages!
A week and a half ago, I injured my hip by picking up some laundry. What????? Yes, how stupid is that? After a trip to the ER, then having a horrible reaction to Dilaudid (ugh) I have been left with a bad hip that desperately needs attention and terrible vertigo.
When Ter'e feels like crap ------ she is quiet. Thus, the quiet and solitude.
Working on getting to the root of the problem, but in the meantime, I will probably not be my cute and witty self. Bad words keep coming to the forefront and I don't want our darling Sean to give me the boot!!!!!!! Luckily, I can lay real still and read some...........
Sorry for you loss Autumn. Nana's are such special people. You will always have her in your heart. xoTer'e, they say hard work never hurt anyone, but i always believe you should never take chances. So there you are - I am vindicated. Stay in bed and read!!! Another one I love is "Good deeds never go unpunished". Let them do their own laundry (and yours while they are at it!) 8:D
Autumn - my prayers are with you and your family. Your nanna sounds like she was an awesome lady.T'ere -
I completely understand your discomfort - my hip is killing me! It's snowing a top a layer of freezing rain. I was up at my Dad's and my brother had to come up and help me to my car...Dern hip locked up on me! I think those stupid rods are allergic to snow or are rusting. After I cook my Lentil soup, I'm going to read in bed for awhile...electric blanket makes the hip smile...

Oh no! Hope they figure out what is wrong quickly. Pain is the absolute worst. Like Anne said, she uses an electric blanket; I use a heating pad. Heat is my best friend when I am in pain. So many people recommend ice but all it does is make me worse. I hope your able to find some relief. Heal quickly.
Autumn,I am so sorry for your loss. I had not read any messages to see what and if anything had happened.
Look at the wonderful things your Grandmother taught you. Remember all your sweet, wonderful times together.
Hugs.........
Autumn, you've written such a beautiful tribute to her. Her spirit must feel your love and all the good thoughts you've created in us by writing it.

Lynn - I totally agree with you. Heat is great for my mending hip. And my cat loves the electric blanket too. Like me, he's not used to the cold weather. He jumps on the bed about a half hour before I climb in and stays there off and on until the blanket shuts itself off after I get up. The heat allows me more mobility in the morning to clean the litter box and kitchen before I go to PT.
I don't know what I'd do without my electric blanket.
When we first started packing stuff up, so we could sell the house, we packed up our elec blanket and our wonderful down comforter. Now that our weather has turned cold.........I wish I knew which box they were in.My vertigo is a bit better........the hip still makes me say bad words.
Well we all have our ups and downs !!
Yesterday, last night I was in A&E hospital; for nearly four hours, after I went into a low blood sugar near coma, horrible feeling.
Dizzy, sickly, sleepy, exhausted, my wife near enough saved me from going in a coma, giving me some cereals with sugar to raise my sugars before taking me to hospital, in hospital they gave me hot coffee with sugar as I was shaking with the being so cold.
Home at 12.45 a.m, then back up at 5.00 a.m for work !
My job is quite exhausting walking 10-14 miles a day, and lots of heavy lifting, rushing around, so just did a bit too much without stopping, usual for me.
It is called a hectic lifestyle, but fine now and back online and healthy again.
Sorry !!!LOL

Wow, Sean. How scary for you and your wife! So thankful you are OK. Take care of yourself, my friend.
Thanks, happy to be here.
All my life I have been a mentally tough and physically fit person, and the last few years this has helped me survive some tough times.
But we all survive our hard times.
For me seven years when I woke up with no use of my right arm, and It seems I has slipped a disc in my neck, with effected all the nerves in my right shoulder and arm.
Four years ago I recovered from double ankle surgery, only to suffer from DVT and 16 blood clots on the lungs, survived that to get another scary time for my poor wife to see last night.
Let's say I enjoy life as much as I can, and thankful to be here, I believe in FATE !
