Because I'm always looking up recommendations or books that you guys have read, about 5 times in the past week I've thought 'that looks really good must go check out,' to then get to Amazon and find I already have the book??!! What an idiot!!

Sorry very quite last few evenings, seemed to be so busy, snooker last night, for 3 hours and tonight 3 1/2 hours, so only popping in after dinner, then out and back on at 10.00 to 11.00 then up early.

Just not enough time in the day, although finished my next book., and won snooker 3-2 last night, 2.00 tonight.

Missed Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here tonight.

Oops yes I forget, asked my wife, how the trials went, and she reminded me, crappy football was on.

So did't miss anything.

But at least I can sneak on here while at work before out 8-10 bags of mail come in.

Christine (clt04) | 4838 comments X Factor failed miserably in USA. Judges highly unlikable and talent nonexistent. It all goes to The Voice. They finally cancelled it after last miserable season. I abandoned it.

Ah! That's why Simon Cowell is back on our screens.

The football we're referring to is what you'd call soccer.

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments My husband was a professional soccer player from Argentina, then when I met him he was a FIFA referee. I knew nothing about soccer, but I was in charge of Collections, took in all the money, went to the stadiums and watched the games, so now I am not a sports person, but I enjoy watching professional soccer, and definitely the world cup.

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments I always drink coffee late at night, and I can drink a mug of perked coffee, and go to sleep. I get up with the dogs around 6:00 or 7:00A.M. They love the snow we are starting to get.

I like 6 hours at least, normally. It can be hard to do sometimes if you don't count the awake parts of the night. 2 of my cats get fed again usually between midnight and 2:00 every night.

Reached my challenge target this year now on 51st book this year.

That is great Sean Congratulations! This brings up something I've been wondering about, I am three books shy of my goal. Since there is over a month until the end of the year, do you just say that you hit your goal? Or do you choose to increase your goal to a higher number? Interested in what others do when in this situation.

message 2444: by Sue (new)

Sue (coccotoro) | 2087 comments I just increased my goal by another 5 books, so I think I have 8 books to read by the end of the year. It doesn't really matter, because you still get credit, and it shows that you surpassed your goal by so much.

Credit from who, Sue? Is this a kind of contest?

message 2446: by Lynn Renee (new)

Lynn Renee | 1708 comments It is the Goodreads 2014 Reading Challenge. I have participated each year I've been using Goodreads. But you probably already know about the challenge. As far as I know you don't receive any recognition other than having met the goal you've set for yourself. There are yearly notices on the challenge page stating what your goal was and that you accomplished it.

I am going to challenge myself to reach at least 55 books this year. So 5 more.

As I will have December Book Pal, Ty first book, Tom Wood's second book.

maybe a couple more, see how busy I am as falling behind on my TV shows.
