Hi Melanie, I'm glad you're enjoying the group. Beside thriller and psychological thriller, I like reading crime, fantasy and drama. I try to post reviews in this group, and I started reading fantasy because I saw the passion of some members about it, so you might find some different books here.

I post about fantasies and young adult all the time on here :3 I don't even know anyone else who reads young adult on here lol, but I post anyway :3
Melanie, I read thrillers, but also read humor, horror, adult-contemporary, cozies, YA, dystopia... I have actually found most of my favorites by checking out other people's "favorites" shelves. I read a lot of book reviews, and when I read one I connect with I check out their shelves. It's taken me down many new paths. That said, this group is the most active and friendly group! There is always something going on to get involved in, and the coolest people. Other groups I've joined are as a result of a similar process above. Reading reviews, checking out the reviewer, seeing what groups they are in and reading some threads. I've numerous times gone down a rabbit trail that leads me to a book I'd be unaware of otherwise.
But I've never found a better group =}
Kerry I want to read the Hunger Games series and the Divergent series , and I m reading a Song of Ice and Fire( I m not sure if this one is adult or young adult) you re not alone, keep posting!

Thank you Sean
I was not sure if it was OK to discuss books here that were not from the Mystery and Thriller Genre.
Like many of you I read lots of other things and I go through phases of authors, genres, etc.
Thanks for your help

I like fantasy too. It is a very hard genre to find well written books without some direction.

That is what Sean and Aymen were just telling me. It's OK to look for and review other genres here. That sounds great as being part of this group has kept me busy. I was thinking it may be difficult to participate in more than one group.

I believe perhaps that as you have stated this is one of the best groups. I think this is why I have become more involved with the Goodreads process through this particular group. From previous posts it looks like I can just stay right here and continue to find new reads and discussions in all genres!

I've been a member since my very first days on Goodreads and really do love it here :) I've found some amazing books, and made some great friends ^_^
Aymen wrote: "Kerry I want to read the Hunger Games series and the Divergent series , and I m reading a Song of Ice and Fire( I m not sure if this one is adult or young adult) you re not alone, keep posting!"Yes Aymen and Kerry!
I agree you are not alone. I am in the process of or have read all three of the books that you have listed Aymen. A friend recently sent me The Eye of the World from "The Wheel of Time Series". Have either of you read those? I have not yet started any of them. They appear to be an important part of the fantasy genre. I was also reading a dystopian novel called Metro 2033. My son stole this one from beside my bed though and he is so into it that I am not going to ask for it back until he's done. When you've got your teen reading a book for the pure joy of it you just roll with it. lol
Yes Melanie Fantasy is awesome, I wasn't expecting to like it , but I loved how it takes you to another world with different rules places and creatures... I didn't read the books you mentioned but I ll check them. I also have to read the Lord of the Rings series, and if you like dark fantasy I read the Talisman by Stephen King and Peter Straub, really good book with some really scary parts.. I have to read the second one "Black House" soon.
I do not like dystopias. Why? REALITY is dystopian enough! Here's an exploration called "Our dystopian world:" https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
It's good to see that you're enjoying the group so much Melanie, and that you've had a better experience on Goodreads because of it. I enjoy this group too. :)
It's 3:39am and I can't sleep... so guess what I'm doing! I'll give you a hint..........I'm reading.

HI Kerry. When you said 3:39am , I realized you are in England, Here in Toronto it is only 10:50P.M., and I am reading 24 Hours: An intense, suspenseful psychological thriller
by Claire Seeber. I am really enjoying it. I saw you are reading
by Caroline Kepnes. I have this book to read soon, and today, I just downloaded book 2 Hidden Bodies
. Are you enjoying it?
I'm actually LOVING You. It's utterly gripping, but it's really twisted in a way because the way it is written makes you care about and root for the deranged stalker, which definitely puts your moral compass a bit confused! It's really really good, though. I'm absolutely loving it.

I am really looking forward now to reading both books. You must be exhausted. Try to get some sleep. Take care.

Pat wrote: "My tablet is really acting up. Some days I have Internet and some days I don't!! Ugh!"Pat, problem might be with your router.
@Brenda - we got an upgrade with the router, and hubby will have access and I can't get on. My tablet is not very old but just acts up. If I restart it, then it picks up the Internet. Otherwise it keeps scanning for a signal. Thanks for the advice. If you think of something else from my "symptoms", please let me know.

I'm sure there are other things as well.
Technology can be a pain at times. I went out yesterday doing research and taking a few photos for my blog. Unfortunately my phone jammed so I couldn't take all the pictures I wanted. It's a Samsung and only a few weeks old. The solution, apparently, was to remove the battery and put it back in again. For some reason it gets itself in a tizzy whenever I take photographs.

Walls can make a difference. Router location, broadband width and speed, device used. Lots of variables really. :) Having four kids growing up in this technological age is useful! :)

@Janet and @Brenda - you two are to be envied!! My son works as a paralegal so if I shoot my tablet, I should be able to get a good lawyer!!! LOL!

Yes, sure does make a difference.
My computers are upstrairs, my router is downstrairs, and I send my movies on my computer to my smart television downstairs, wirelessly.
Sometimes the connection upstairs is so slow, does not connect to TV.
Although new computer would also help, and a faster wirelss connection.
You can spend up tp 400.00 pounds on a fast router.
