Amber Martingale Like I said in my reply to your post at my Inbox, Janet, I'll get the thread URLs to you and/or Sean if it turns out Sheldon is a member of this group and if not, I'll let the Admins of the groups he/she IS harassing me in know about this.

Kerry: Yes it is.

Sean: As I mentioned to Janet above (and in my Inbox), I honestly can't remember which group Sheldon is a member of but as I also said to Janet, you'll get the thread URLs in question as soon as I find them IF they are from this particular group.

Janet (again): And you two do a fine job, usually.

Sonya: I think both Janet and Sean deserve a round of applause for how well they manage, don't you?

No worries, Amber. Hate to see anyone upset on here. Just wanted to get a message out to all in the group.

And thank you for your kind words. Sean, Autumn and myself do what we can to make this group work. :)

Groovy Lee Sean, I forgot to ask of lately--how are you doing now? Has the coughing subsided much? Are you back at work and on the courts? I hope your wife is better, too.

After two whole months, I'm bronchitis free!!!!

Amber Martingale So do I, Groovy.

Janet/Sean: Found him/her. Sean was right...Sheldon's in one of the other groups I'm in. He/She's in the ALL ABOUT ME GROUP. I'm about to inform the Admins there that he/she's called me "sugar tits" and "trollop."

Groovy,

thanks for asking, I went back to work last Monday, still not a 100% by a long way, and back to work means walking 8-10 miles, rushing around a lot.

But have made it through the week. I also did play snooker Tuesday night, and tennis Wednesday, but
struggling with breathing awful, so resting.

Turned down playing today.

My wife is also went back to work, but is in pain with torn chest and back muscles through coughing.

Today we went out for lunch, did food shopping, all afternoon resting, and watched tennis.

(Vienna semi final D.Ferrer beat G.Monfils)

This has been a really strong virus !!

Still coughing a lot, tight chest.

message 7012: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Sorry to hear about the cough, Sean, but you're starting to feel better.

message 7017: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Dang it, Monfils!!! Someone really needs to school him on less court theatrics, and more putting your heart and soul into the play. Anyway....Maureen O'Hara lived a long life. I used to love seeing her on T.V.

message 7018: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale Yeah, I heard about that, Sean. I remember her best as the grandma in the movie BIG JAKE.

Amber Martingale No disrespect intended, but I think they'd want us to get on with our lives and since Halloween's coming up... . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJdxT...

Sandysbookaday (taking a step back for a while) (sandyj21) | 5101 comments In today's New Zealand Herald is a list of extracts from book reviews - this is my favourite : The review is of the book Clarissa, or, the History of a Young Lady by Samuel Richardson, the review via One Star Book Review Tumblr. "The experience of reading this book is akin to being dragged through a bog of broken glass and Tabasco sauce. Face down. By a very slow mule."
I just love it!

Ooh dear, that sounds painful. It almost makes me want to read the book just to see if it really is that bad. :)

Aymen,

I know how hard it is to go back to work, after a long absence, it is very hard.

2010 I was OFF work for a year, with double ankle surgery, which was successful, but then had DVT and pulmonary embolism, I has 16 blood clots on the lungs.

After a year of being at home, I got used to my own company, the quite, it was so tough going back, working in a room with 10-12 other people.

It takes time, but you will do it, as you know the last 5-6 weeks I have been off again, back two weeks seems like I have not been away, back to the madness of working life !!

As mentioned , take it slow, one day then another..

message 7033: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh You are right Sean, I spent most of my time alone , except for my family, and now seeing all these people at work and talking to so many people seems really difficult and weird... But I was expecting worse, and I need to go slowly as you said. I hope you re feeling better now.

I also am a sufferer of depression and anxiety and I know how much it can take out of you, so I'm so very proud of you for going to work. Every step counts, big or small. I'm here if you'd like to talk, darling. You know I care very deeply for you.

message 7046: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale I could be better, Aymen. On the other hand, I could be a whole lot worse!

I KNOW my feet are going to be kicking me in the ass tomorrow, figuratively speaking. I had to walk to the pharmacy today despite the road work being done that closed down half the sidewalk between the church I go to for Tuesday morning Bible study and my pharmacy.

Even under ideal traffic conditions, it takes me approx. an hour to get the pharmacy and a little more than an hour to get back to the library from the pharmacy.

message 7047: by Aymen (new)

Aymen Ben cheikh It must be hard Amber, but you are struggling and walking despite of it which shows how strong you are, I hope you will get better soon, take care .

message 7048: by Amber (new)

Amber Martingale It'd be easier if I could AFFORD a car as well as the gas for it, the mandated insurance AND my US $451 a month apartment rent, that's for damned sure, Aymen.

Melanie (meldoc) | 634 comments Hi there I just wanted to praise this group and say I have really enjoyed the past month and been more involved with GoodReads than I ever had before. I have loved the PIFM and have added many TBR books to my list. As stated, I love this group but am wondering if any of you would recommend groups of other genres of books? I would like to expand my Goodreads experience. Thanks

message 7050: by Sean, Moderator (new)

Melanie, your welcome !!

So nice to get feedback, I am proud of the group, one how it has grown, filled with great people, nice and sincere people.

I am so happy when it all runs smoothly and we can make each other smile and enjoy life.

Book, authors, my lists go up all the time.

I want the world to know about my group, and proudly market this group as a place to enjoy, have fun and grow your authors list.

And I am so grateful to my two helpers who do some much to help, Janet and Autumn.

Maybe a thought to open a thread for other types of books, although we do have a folder for other genre's you like.

I like true crime, autobiographies, but if I read one I will still put my review here, as we all read all types of books.
