We had a wonderful storm here in Yorkshire overnight. I found myself outside at 4am watching the lightning. I have a crick in my neck now, hehe.

Can I just say Happy Independence Day to all my American friends on here. Hope you have a fabulous day / weekend celebrating!
Thanks, all. Our windows will be closed and the air conditioning on so that we can mute the booms and bangs of fireworks. Our kitty aren't too fond of the noise!

Our dogs hate the fireworks. The black one, comes to me for reassurance, and the red one just barks. Also had to close all the windows and put the AC on.
You re right Christine they chose the right title for the series, and yes i m sure it s going to be fun :)

I love a good storm, too. I must have slept through that one, unless it didn't each as far as south Yorks.

I'd best get saving then :~)
Help! I need a detective! One of my favorite groups ... J.D. Robb fans... has disappeared! Does anyone know anything?
I caught the last five minutes of Hannibal last night. My daughter and I were at the edge of our seats. I thought for sure Jack was going to get it again. That was a good fight, though. We get to see it next week. And it looks as if he's sending Will after him--OMG!Janet, please don't feel as if you can't chat about it because I didn't want to hear any spoilers. Please dish! But, I think it's getting better, don't you?
Kirsten, like at the beginning of all good mysteries - none of us saw or heard anything.....8:DHowever, where was it and what time did you last see it?
Who was the last person to see it?
Kirsten, there is other groups out there...
I didn't realise....LOL
One of your favourites groups, of course except your main favourite " A Good Thriller"...
Seriously I don't know how a group can disappear?

I cannot believe two weeks have gone !!
Two weeks off work, enjoying the great weather, the tennis, playing tennis, coffee and cakes, gardening...
Then.... WORK Tomorrow... Horrible

Kirsten, you have my sympathy. It's like when your favorite soda or cereal goes out of production. And a very large dose of empathy for you, Sean.

Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a lovely weekend and I hope work doesn't go too bad Sean.My weekend was very eventful. We had my daughter's college prom on Friday evening and had eight of her friends and their parents over for an hour beforehand for a photograph session. My son put his dinner jacket on especially so my daughter could have her picture with him.
Then on Saturday we had to take her to the airport for her first holiday with her friends. I'm fretting now as she's only 18 but they're a good group of kids so hopefully she'll be OK. It's like a little practice run for when she goes to uni in September (which I'm dreading).
I do, Groovy. There's hope for this season yet. Last episode was bringing storylines upto date of the key players.
Sounds lovely, Heather.
I have been fence painting and shed painting in the garden. Aubergine and blue. Sounds hideous but actually looks nice. Given the garden some much needed attention and trying to introduce some colour. So we trotted off to the garden centre yesterday and my boy picked out bedding plants to go into pots and planters. Boy did he take his time picking out colours and what should go where. Did he do any of the work?!! Did he heck, not when he can bounce on the trampoline and throw some moves!!! Eldest daughter and I spent the time planting, dodging the storm that came out of nowhere.

Hehe, my husband always volunteers to go to B&Q when there is any work taking place, funnily enough. I'm sure your garden will look lovely when it is finished. The current trend is for bright colours in gardens. :)
Kimberley, can I borrow you...
Always have a lot of gardening, mowing, weeding, feeding, watering.
But like the end result...
I hope you are watching Murray now... I'm working ..

I know how you feel, Sean. I got home yesterday only to find out that ESPN aired Wimbledon on regular broadcast and I missed it by one minute!

Janet - love the bright colors for the garden. Sounds lovely. I'm trying to garden - have so much to do - but canadian wildfire smoke has invaded our space. Ugh!
Janet wrote: "Do you go every Monday?"Yup every monday. Thats when the van run is and i can pick up my requests if there are any
Smoke here too, from B.C. and WA. The sky has been brownish orange and the sun blood red. Scary dry!
tonight I didn't lift anything didn't jump onto any boxes or do any pull ups. tonight was boxing night and it was hot sweaty and loads of fun. there is nothing better than kicking and punching the crap of the day out of your system in a controlled environment. :D

lol... I spent two nights with Otto, my 86 pound German Shepherd Dog, attempting to sit on my head. Seriously! Fireworks are not on his fun things to do list. Friday night they had a fireworks display south of camp right on the river. Then Saturday night there was another large display just north of us on the river too. Not to mention all the other campers who were setting off some large displays themselves.
