Yes Christine, a cousin and a friend in two months, what can we do, i can t imagine how hard it is for the parents.
Thank you Dawn sorry to hear about your friend. You are right, there real events much worse than the stories we read about.
that's not good aymen and dawn. that's why it important to live each day to the full and when things are bad for some there is always someone in a worse place. On a lighter note - tomorrow is Friday and I am doing no exercise beyond normal walking think I have done enough to deserve a rest day - tonights was tough on the legs again. have warned the buster that he is going to the beach for a run on Saturday morning so he is away hiding behind the sofa. then I have a personal training session on sunday :)

It must be very hard on!
May he rest in peace :(

Aymen, I'm just catching up with the thread now. I am terribly sorry to hear about the death of your friend. No words can bring him back or ease the pain for those left behind. Take care, my friend.

Nice to see you again Aaron!
Nice to see you again Aaron!
hope everyone is having a good SaturdayI got up early and took the buster boy down the beach where we did a 3.78 mile run well more of a stop start shuffle but we had fun. came home baked a cake pulled some rhubarb for making rhubarb muffins tomorrow and watched some rugby. settling down for a quiet evening :)
LOL Christine not sure a 3mile run at 7am is fun but it was necessary this week cant wait til tough mudder is over and I can get back to cycling at 630am on the weekend
I used to run 3 miles/day for years till my back said no more. I liked it, especially the first hour after finishing, lol. Runner's euphoria is great!
Sharon wrote: "LOL Christine not sure a 3mile run at 7am is fun but it was necessary this week cant wait til tough mudder is over and I can get back to cycling at 630am on the weekend"That is a nightmare to me.
I sleep at 2-3 am and wake up at 8-9 pm!
I hate running I am not and never have been a very good runner especially distance. was a sprinter in school and I don't mind doing the odd dash when I have to when I play hockey but if I can avoid it I will lol much prefer cycling 40 - 60 miles than running 3
I hope that was over the length of the summer Christine lol. one year I did 150 miles over 4 days. it was a cycle thing with where I worked at the time and I had been doing something like 40-60 miles on the Saturday and 20-40 miles on the sunday for the months prior to that
Oh, yes, lol. That was a good 4 days, Sharon. Not only is cycling a great way to stay in shape, it was a great way to solve any problems in my head--good thinking time.
yeah I enjoy my cycling (way more than running eech) lol I would sing to myself as I cycled and got many a strange look from cows in fields
Love cycling! Not as keen on running, high impact on your legs/knees etc. great workout though!
I walk about 3 miles a day now. My sweet aunt told me to not walk too fast as she would walk 5 or more miles a day and it took a toll on her joints. In her late 80's, she still walks but slower pace and smaller distance. I figure she can't be wrong!
Pat wrote: "I walk about 3 miles a day now. My sweet aunt told me to not walk too fast as she would walk 5 or more miles a day and it took a toll on her joints. In her late 80's, she still walks but slower p..."Wow, Pat, I want to be like your aunt when I am in my late 80s!
I know!!! That's what I'm shooting for. She is delightful - has all her wits about her, a bit hard of hearing, reads James Patterson and loves the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers.
id like to think I will still be physically active in my 80s too. working hard now to be sure that's the case LOLPersonal training session this morning - was tyre flips last week wonder what it will be today

I am sorry that you are dealing with this. It is a horrible way to lose someone. I had a strikingly similiar experience with a friend/co-worker. These are things we read about in our books and don't expect to happen to us or people we know. My heart goes out to you and his loved ones.
