Jean | 2387 comments Ter'e, it's a good thing I know what kind of "hooking" you're talking about, because "hooking camp " conjurs up all kinds of images in my mind! And for a great-grandma-to-be too!Oh my! Just had to tease you a bit - and I am a little concerned about the way my mind is working at 8 AM!

Great game of tennis tonight.

On our usual private court

My partner and myself won 4-6 7-5 11-9 , 3 hours straight from work, so just back, what a close game.

Pleased to service for the match and win.

Jean - God bless you were the one to bring this up!!! And Ter'e I finally caught on but when you mentioned a camp for hookers! my mind ran to the gutter. Had a good laugh at my ignorance!

My husband was buying plain English Scones at the grocery store all the time, and we both like them. I told him I can make them. My recipe calls for raisins, but I made them plain, and so simple and fast. Doubled the recipe and it made 18. Next time I will add a little cheddar cheese to the dough, for a change.

OK..I have to ask…what is hooking camp? I may need some help out of the gutter here, lol.

Back from a dental cleaning and they made me wait 45 minutes "past" my appointment. I hate hate doctors and dentists. I put a call in to my doctor to ask a question. She wants me to do a re test. I left a message last Thursday….still have not heard back. The medical in the US is atrocious. OK rant over.

I'm off to mow the lawns.

message 5412: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1266 comments Lisa - Ter'e has on her profile that she hooks rugs so I assume she meant a retreat to work on rug making but hey, that's my best guess. Better than what I thought the first time around!!! Like a camp rehab for hookers!!?

Ter'e can you help us out???

Yes, I made them plain, so they are less fattening, and then you can put some homemade jam on them.

message 5416: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mccall not made scones in ages love them warm out the oven with butter melting into them

message 5417: by Groovy (new)

Groovy Lee Good for you, Sean!

I make my own scones; I have one for lemon ones and they are delicious. I think homemade tastes much better.

I tried to mow the lawn but ran out of gas, and it's half done (story of my life) Now I have to wait until I can get to the gas station. I'm trying to get everything done before the weekend!

Ha ha! Gag. Not cheese, cream. Very thick cream, as used for cream teas in the UK.

message 5426: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Mccall clotted cream is a very thick cream Christine - no cheese involved lol

Clotted cream (sometimes called scalded, clouted, Devonshire or Cornish cream) is a thick cream made by indirectly heating full-cream cow's milk using steam or a water bath and then leaving it in shallow pans to cool slowly. During this time, the cream content rises to the surface and forms 'clots' or 'clouts'
