I hope your neck gets better soon Lynn - it sounds painful!I've been really busy since I returned from holiday almost two weeks ago. I had some client work to do but the rest has been silly household/financial stuff that needed sorting - the sort of stuff that I tend to put off. It's kept me away from my writing which really frustrates me. I'm back to it now though so I'm feeling a lot happier.
Just to let everyone know that Revenge is Sweet by Betta Ferrendelli, is free for download to day on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca. Great mystery thriller.
Lynn, I hope you feel better soon!Freda, good luck with the car search!
Heather, don't you just hate it when chores get in the way?

I was exhausted! Had to sit on the couch and watch baseball for the rest of the night!
Hi, everyone! Yes, Cop Town and Tin God are both very, very good. Titus, LOL! I will plan to skip your non-recommendation! Lynn - OUCH! That sounds miserable! I woke up at 3 a.m. with a migraine and then only dozed until I finally got up around 8, but I was a total slug today. Managed to catch a nap while cuddling with a cat or two...a good way to spen a rainy afternoon, but Freda, I have to admit, I'm a little jealous of your sunburn! (because we have either had no sun , or it's been too chilly to be outdoors).
Thank you for the well wishes everyone. I am feeling a little better but still stuck in my bed. At least I am able to read a bit now. Hoping to be up and about soon. I want to get to camp the weather is breaking up.
My daughter just called me and told me she went and saw the new Cinderella movie alone, while hubby was away, making me wish more than ever I didn't live so far away from my children! I would have loved so much to sit with her as we used to, holding hands has mother's and daughter's do, sharing a box of tissues, as we laugh and cry, watching a movie guys hate, munching on that terrible cinema food that is so bad for you, but you just can't resist. Ho hum, is it a sign I'm getting old?

Yes, no matter how much I put them off they always catch up with me in the end.

Lynn-Tkae it easy and I hope you feel better. You ladies can borrow my stepdaughter, lol. She lives 4 miles from me, calls almost daily and we see her at least once a week. Seriously though she is great. We are much closer now than we have ever been.
Actually next week her and I will do our yearly "gardening day". We go and buy our garden plants and then go out to lunch:)

That sounds lovely. :)
Sounds lovely Lisa, and Heather I sympathise with you also, I love both my kids, but I miss doing all the girly things I did with my daughter that the boys and men just aren't into!
Great story this morning on NPR on the origins of "eeny meeny miny mo": http://www.npr.org/2015/04/26/4023538...#

Happy to watch the London Marathon this morning and Paula Radcliffe last competitive race.
Friday was also great watching The Masterchef Final, three great chefs, but Simon was the best.
But sadly failed with our first jewellery show yesterday, up 5.00 a.m at the royal square by 7.00 a.m, pouring down with rain by 9.30 a.m !!
Very frustrating, rotten weather and packed up by 12.30 no customers, everything wet, had to be un packed from the car today and dried.
Sadly a waste of time.

Climbing out of my funk to ask a serious question. After following the horrible earthquake and aftershocks yesterday and today.........has anyone heard from Dips or our other members who reside in the area???
I have tried to make it a point to not follow too closely........but my heart tells me to ask.
I didn't know where else good (or otherwise) news would be posted.
I was also thinking about that, with so many victims. So sad. I hope all our members from this area are safe.

Tremors have been felt in Nepal, India and Pakistan. The earthquake epic center is based in Nepal, and has triggered off an avalanche on Mount Everest. Confirmed reports of at least 17 hikers killed at the base camp on Everest.3 quakes of decreasing intensities have hit Nepal, the first was 7.9, the next 6.7 and the last 5.1 on the richter scale.
As of now the estimates are putting the death toll at 1500 people. Rural areas have been almost wiped out and there are a lot of people who are left homeless.
Relief efforts are in progress, but getting hampered by the aftershocks.
Thoughts and prayers will all those in the impacted zones....
My heart goes out to all those effected. Last night on the news, it said that the death toll had increased to around 3,000. Stay safe.
It's so sad to hear of such devastation. The reporter that delivered the news on TV last night looked terrified as the ground was shaking beneath him while he was giving his report.
NBC News is reporting tonight that the death toll is now 4000+. Such a frightening, tragic situation for so many people.

That's a Ruffed Grouse. I can't imagine the circumstances that would lead to this result. Wow.
Yes, there has been a grouse for the last couple years behind my camper. He has been doing his mating call all the time. Flapping his wings faster and faster than it makes a whooshing sound. My friend thinks someone put it there, but I've had small birds get into the camper before so anything is possible. It is weird though.

Enjoyed this story from 'The Guardian' newspaper about the Greeks helping the boat migrants flooding into southern Europe... No more heroes anymore? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015...
Hello everybody!!!! I have missed my everyone. I have been overwhelmed at work and with a very sick family member. I have only managed to read 5 books since the last time I posted. I am not even going to pretend that I will go back and read all the posts I have missed. I just hope everyone and their loved ones are doing well. I know there is a WHOLE LOT
Dawn wrote: "of craziness going on the the world right now. There I go prematurely posting again!"Welcome back, Dawn! I hope your family member is much better.
Thank you. I have truly missed you guys as well, seriously!! Thanks Brenda, it will take time but things are better.
Great to see you Dawn! I missed you but missed that puppy photo of yours showing up and making me go 'awwwww'. LOL Hope things settle down for you soon!
Well, my car search is still going on - somebody just slap me to make a decision. This has been going on far too long. haha. I'm picky and scared and ...and..it's not the right size or the right price or ..or...LOLI should do a poll on it. Think goodreads or Janet will ban me if I put one up? Got my eye on 3 cars and I don't want to do the eeny meeny miny mo thing. The boys want them all so can't rely on them to pick one.
I've been lurking around and know I haven't been chatty lately but when summer hits, I've got activities to register the boys into, physicals, dentists, new eye glasses...the paperwork is brutal! Hi to all!
