I don't know if we have a separate thread for Facebook stuff, but I also have a brand new author Facebook profile. I'm always looking to connect with readers and fellow writers!
Hopefully I have added all above to my twitter following.

Thanks

Firstly, nothing embarrassing about not having a Twitter account. I know many that don't. It took me years to get going with Twitter and Facebook.
Twitter is fine if you have time to commit to it. To build up a following and followers takes time, dedication and perseverance. A lot of authors use it as a 'selling tool' quite often putting automated tweets out there, (those that get generated every so often). Other than that it's just a social media forum for interacting with like minded souls if it's those you choose to follow. It's tailored to suit your needs so you can choose to follow anyone with a Twitter account be it a celebrity to family and friends, news channels to, well, pretty much anything. That's it really. Like most things in life, you get out of it what you're prepared to put in. :)) Hope that makes a degree of sense?!!

Thanks for the feedback, Janet.

Thanks Michael. If I enter the Twitter waters I'll take a life raft, an L plate, a map and a realistic set of expectations.
