The book is in 5 parts, most of them being 60-80 pages and Patterson, of course, writes in short chapters. I know today will be difficult to plan our reading but I thought we could just post for each part. I plan to do that unless there is a particular chapter that I need to say something about lest I forget by the time I'm at the end of a part. LOL

Finished Part 1

C.P. (view spoiler)[is like the worst kind of "friend" ever. I hate some of the ways she put down Tandy! I don't like her at all. (hide spoiler)]

Hugo (view spoiler)[is my hero. I LOVED his "apology" and I think C.P. got what she deserved in front of the entire school. I like how he wants to protect his sister. (hide spoiler)]

Peter (view spoiler)[is the worst! Ugh...I'd forgotten so much but the author does a good job of reviewing what all has happened in previous books. Peter was not and is not a good person. He's a creep! (hide spoiler)]

Tandy (view spoiler)[is definitely one gutsy young woman! She is areally going to take on Peter and the "family business" and sue him! I love it! (hide spoiler)]

Matt (view spoiler)[lost everything. I can't help but to feel bad for him. Seems like everything was taken from him all so suddenly! (hide spoiler)]

I had forgotten about (view spoiler)[Tandy's sister. I was trying to remember about Katherine, but again Patterson did a good review. I guess she had pretended to die and then was "resurrected" but I'd forgotten that too. LOL (hide spoiler)]

Finished Part 2

I thought sure that (view spoiler)[Tandy was going to take Peter and the drug company down. I really disappointed for her. (hide spoiler)]

Tandy (view spoiler)[got thrown back in the mental hospital for what? LOL Okayyyyyy (hide spoiler)]

Oppenheimer (view spoiler)[really doesn't like her! He seems to have it in for her for some reason. I don't get him. Now he kicks her out. In the real world that would never happen, at least not in a public school. (hide spoiler)]

Jacob (view spoiler)[seemed to turn on her pretty quickly at the end of part 2. God, I hope he isn't in on all of the near-death happenings or in with Peter somehow. That would be awful. But he snapped at her so fast that now I wonder about his motives. (hide spoiler)]

I had also forgotten how (view spoiler)[Capote (or whatever that detectives name is had called Tandy by the wrong name or nicknames he gave her. I liked that about him. (hide spoiler)]

I also didn't get the sense that the detectives (view spoiler)[believed Tandy's story. Seems like everyone prefers to believe it's in her imagination. I'll be MAD if it is! LOL (hide spoiler)]

Finished Part 3

I don't feel like much happened in this section, plus I've been gone most of the day doing some shopping.

Peter (view spoiler)[still might not be all that innocent. But he was an obvious bad guy, so maybe he is. (hide spoiler)]

Katherine (view spoiler)[is too mysterious! She's bugged me since the last book. I really want to know what her whole story is. (hide spoiler)]

Matt (view spoiler)[might be somehow controlled by those pills or the years of taking them. Then again he might just be a not so in control person. I don't know what to think of him. But I do feel bad that he lost MILLIONS! I mean how do you recoup from that? (hide spoiler)]

Jacob (view spoiler)[bothers me too. I just don't know about any of these characters. LOL What was he saying about Tandy on the phone to Peter? Why was he so quick to vote that Matt lose his inheritance? What is his relationship really with Peter? (hide spoiler)]

Finished but I have to hit the sack! I will say this though, (view spoiler)[Peter was my number one suspect from the get go. Dr. Robosson entered my mind too but only because she was TOO quick to assume Tandy was "imagining" things and to give her drugs. I didn't focus on her though until the last time they took Tandy back to Waterside and it was just too quick and easy for the doctor to admit her without any testing or anything. (hide spoiler)]

I wanted to hear a lot more about (view spoiler)[James or at least I wanted there to be closure between he and Tandy but I didn't feel like that happened. (hide spoiler)]

I hope you enjoy it. I liked it, but it certainly wasn't amazing!

but still not WOW....

I started to suspect the therapist as soon as Tandy was shot at....all these attacks just made Tandy sound crazy...which made me wonder if that was their real intent, instead of actually killing her, just make her look like she was reporting things that weren't real (hide spoiler)]

Matty(view spoiler)[ man, in that meeting when he lost it. how scary (hide spoiler)]

James and C.P.(view spoiler)[ I agree, there was no real closure here. They were somehow WORSE this go round and Tandy's fighting back always seemed weak. How could she still be pining after this guy? and why is C.P.so freaking obsessed with Tandy? (hide spoiler)]

I think this is the end but I'm not positive. I just haven't seen a new one showing yet.
