Syliah Neely | 5 comments This is a book that I've literally been looking for since forever. I kind of remember the plot, but please hepl if you can. I believe the book was a dystopian novel where the people in the society had to marry at an early age... like 13 or 14. At 16 years they had to have children and around 18 years they died. its similar to the gone series in the sense that no one lives past a certain age. My ages my be off but I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Liah

Syliah, I've put a description into the header of your thread since we have many members who only check out threads that are in "their" reading niche. And more who won't check out a thread that doesn't have some mention of what kind of book you are looking for.

Sue Elleker | 1055 comments Do they die naturally, or is it enforced? I'm thinking of 'Logans Run' by William Nolan.
"It's the 23rd Century and at age 21... your life is over! Logan-6 has been trained to kill; born and bred from conception to be the best of the best. But his time is short and before his life ends he's got one final mission: Find and destroy Sanctuary, a fabled haven for those that chose to defy the system. But when Logan meets and falls in love with Jessica, he begins to question the very system he swore to protect and soon they're both running for their lives. When Last Day comes, will you lie down and die... or run!"

If not that...how long is 'literally forever'? Do you remember seeing/reading this book in 2010? 2000? 1981? 1876? (mid-French Revolution? Maybe you're immortal and 'forever' is a lot longer for you than it is for me.)

Chris (chrisg023) | 23 comments My first thought would also be Logan's Run, but my guess is that's probably not the book the OP is thinking of.

One particular passage from Logan's Run always stuck in my mind:

Anger man is filled with fury,
He the judge and he the jury,
Gunning runner, gunning, gunning,
Homer in the gun.
