Mine will be to either read a Man Booker prize winner or a book from RWS bookshelf from a previous challenge. I'll pick one or the other in this post by Dec 1
Read a book in a series I started before Dec. 1 2015 (eg. Fforde's Thursday next,Fleming's Bond, or Penny's Inspector gamache).
Kätlin wrote: "Read a Top 200 book from the list of Best Dystopian and Post-Apocalyptic Fiction."I have 10 books on my tbr list from that task.
Read a book in French. They're piling up on me and I haven't read one in a while, plus I have some French tests coming up for work so hopefully this'll help me prepare!
Jayme(the ghost reader) wrote: "I have 10 books on my tbr list from that task."I have lots too. It is a cool list (even though some of these aren't really dystopian or post-apocalyptic in any way)! There are also some hidden gems further down the list (hint: Michael Marshall Smith).
Read something already on my Kindle or bookshelf. I have a bad habit of buying or finding books I want to read and never getting to them.
@Sam: I'm copying you! Thanks! My task: Read a book in Bahasa Indonesia
I need to dust them off (the books & my skill) ;)
Read a book 'purchased' for free from Amazon. It's actually been a month since I've got a load of free ebooks. I must be due back on amazon to look for more
Read a book with a cover designed by Coralie Bickford-Smith. (I know, I know, never judge a book by its cover.....but these are just so lovely.)
Mine is going to be to read a book published in 2015 found in Locus Magazine's New and Notable section (http://www.locusmag.com/Magazine/cate...).
Would this be okay:Read the January, February, or March selections for my real life book club (which will be selected Dec. 8).
These are:
January: Angle of Repose
February: The Little Paris Bookshop
March: Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet
Valerie -- I like your task. I'm going to use it too! Read a book in a series I started before December 1, 2015
This may be too vague (if so, let me know please) but as my husband and I are expecting our first child in April, I'd like my task to be to read a book from my "babies" TBR Shelf!
My self-challenge is to read a book I received as a holiday present (sometimes they just sit too long and get added to "the pile"...I'd like to avoid that!).
