message 1: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Here we are :)

message 2: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Nice. So you said you had some ideas?

message 3: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Yeah, I do, but I am also up for anything else if you have something you are dying to try?

message 4: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Nothing pressing. I'm mostly just going for developing my style and getting better at rping guys.

message 5: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments So I guess we would have one with some sort of a relationship in it :) What types of plots do you like? Dystopian, futuristic, historical, present day, sci fi, fantasy etc?

Personally I am up for anything that has a good amount of action, and at least a little romance :)

message 6: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Action is good, so is romance. I've written a bit of everything, but tend not to go for the chick-lit or non-fiction. Mostly fantasy, urban fantasy, and dystopias, and I can work with any time period (except maybe Neolithic ;) )

message 7: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments lol ok :) so.... want to go with an urban fantasy? I enjoy those a lot, haven't done one in a while :)

message 8: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Sounds good! Any specific ideas?

message 9: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Um, well I guess it depends on what type of UF we do. As in angels/demons, witches, vampires... etc. or all of them at once. We could do one where the guy is supernatural, in any way you choose, and the girl is a human. I guess from there, the plot would depend on what type of supernatural the guy is. :P

message 10: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) I'm for it so far. I like demons/angels. The girl would be human; would she be completely ignorant to this other world as well?

message 11: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Ok. And same XP If she was ignorant, it would make it more interesting :) Why should the guy (is he an angel, or a demon?) be involved with her as well? ex. is he sent to kill her/capture her/see what she knows, or is he there to protect her from something, or does he sense that she has some sort of power/link to him that she doesn't know about? Just some ideas I'm throwing out there. Do any of those sound good?

message 12: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Alright.... How about her dad/mom has been making deals with the devil (Just cut me off with a big No if anything sounds stupid) and now dad/mom is going back on his/her word. The guy is sent/goes to protect (if he's an angel) or collect payment (if he's a demon), but ends up getting too involved for his superiors' liking (thus the romance).

message 13: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments It sounds great! I think it would make more sense if he was a demon/fallen angel sent to collect her as payment, just because the devil would be angry with the parents for conning him?

message 14: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Collect her? Sounds good. So the devil's playing dirty by coming after their daughter to get back at her mom/dad instead of going directly after the mom/dad?

message 15: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Yup. pretty much. XP By collecting her, that could either mean collecting her physically, or killing her and collecting her soul. *shrugs* What ever you think would be best.

message 16: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Err... The problem with both is why wait around? He could just kill her, or he could just kidnap her....

message 17: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments He could be hindered a couple times. ex. someone walks in, so he can't kill her in front of them. He tries to spend more time with her so he can get her alone to kill her, but as he spends time with her, he starts to change his mind?

message 18: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Oh, that's good. So luck's against him. So do you want the him or the her?

message 19: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments I like playing the girl, but I'm fine doing the guy as well if you really want to be the girl.

message 20: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) I'm better at playing girls, but I can give the guy a go.

I'm gonna get some rest; talk to you tomorrow!

message 21: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ok. :) and alright. looking forward to it :)

message 22: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Alright, awesome!

So, characters now?

message 23: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Sure. Could you post yours first so I can get a feel for what you are looking for?

message 24: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) I have to go in 10-15 minutes so I might not get him done before I leave, but I'll definitely have him up later tonight.

message 25: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments ok, sounds good.

message 26: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Name: Elathan "Eli"

Age: Centuries, but looks somewhere around 18 to 20

Appearance:

Personality: He's a chameleon. Wherever he goes, whoever he's around, he changes his personality to fit the people and place. It's all to fit in better and not draw attention. Unneeded attention only makes his job harder. His true self is very skeptical. He rarely believes that which he cannot prove in one way or another. Eli never shows emotion and believes, knows he no longer has the ability to feel any emotion whatsoever, and has forgotten what emotion is. Quite simply, he is an evil husk, a human who has forgotten what humanity feels like.

History: Centuries in hell have changed Eli for the worse. When he was first thrown into the pit, he was human, like most every demon there. Over the centuries, the endless ages staring at burning red flames and smelling the acrid tang of ash and fear, he became like the rest, something unnatural. A demon.
After that, he became another servant for the devil, doing whatever the devil wanted of him. Mostly, he collects payment for those who have made deals with the devil, in whatever form those payments may be. The other times, he wreaks havoc, just as any other demon let loose in the human world.

message 27: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Is that alright? I guessed for the age, and I can easily edit that to whatever we decide. Also, if there's anything else you'd like me to add, that's also easily done.

message 28: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments No, he sounds amazing :) Give me a minute while I make mine :)

message 29: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Alright :)

message 30: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Name: Lexi James
Age: 18
Appearance:
[image error] http://www.pinterest.com/pin/56224633... (Link is for if the pic doesn't show up, as they are the same one)

Personality: Lexi is outgoing and quirky, loving to have fun and be with her friends. She wants to lead her own life and wont take no for an answer. She has a bit of a temper, which may have come with the red in her hair, but she can be calm and serious when the time arises. She is awkward around boys, but isn't really interested in them that way, as she figures no one would ever like her.

History: Lexi lived in a crappy apartment with her parents for most of her life, not knowing that her mother had been to hell, let alone made a deal with the devil. She was oblivious to all that went on in her home, except for the fact that her father came home drunk most nights. As soon as she turned 18, she bought an apartment of her own, moved out, got a job, and tried to make a life for her own.

message 31: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Awesome!

Alright, setting? Time and place?

message 32: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Um, as for time, want to keep it present tense? just because we already have a bunch of other crazy things going on without adding in a different time period :P As for setting and place, it is honestly up to you. But it would probs be in a city of some sort since Lexi lives in an apartment :)

message 33: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Alright, let's make it simple, NYC? And in the spring?

message 34: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Sure, sounds good. Could you start?

message 35: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) I gtg, but I will as soon as I get back.

message 36: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Alright. :)

message 37: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) A brush of cool air sliced through the heat waves already starting to rise from the black pavement, though it was only early spring, barely causing Eli's leather jacket to twitch. The subway he had just been on rolled away, shaking the ground beneath his feet, and he stared up at the street sign. This is where she lived. The girl he had been sent to kill. It was odd, though. Usually Lucifer chose to go after those who had broken their deals, not their loved ones. This man, woman, whatever, must have gone back on their word in an important deal to deserve this cruel fate.

But Eli did not care what they did or did not deserve, or why. He only knew that his job was to kill this girl, and he would.

message 38: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi was sitting on her bed, writing in her journal as usual. The pencil made a soft scraping noise on the paper as she scrawled across it in fluent motions. Writing always seemed to help her relax after a long day at work. Especially after a day like today, when she had gotten yelled at too many times to count. It was bad, yes, but also a lot better than what she had grown up with.

Lexi closed her book slowly and set it on the dark nightstand beside her bed, glancing out the window briefly. The streets were fairly empty today, which was unusual, but not unheard of. There was only one lone figure standing in the streets. An involuntary shiver ran up Lexi's spine. She pushed it away as being from the weather, and got up from the bed to go downstairs and make some supper.

message 39: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Eli closed his eyes and leaned back against the bricks of the nearest building, getting a feel for the neighborhood. Respectable, young, average, if not the best, pay. He would fit right in. Shouldn't be too hard to get an apartment around. If it even took that long. If it went well, the job would be done tonight.

He pushed off the wall and with a quick glance around the deserted street, walked with purpose, head down, to the door of the girl's apartment building. Lexi. That was her name. Taking the few steps two by two, he pressed the buzzer for the intercom beside her name. Lexi James.

message 40: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi jumped to attention when she heard the intercom go off. She was new with these things, as her old apartment hadn't had one. In fact, it was so fascinating at first, that she had gotten complaints from her neighbors over how much she was using it.

She thumbed the button on her end and cautiously said, "Hullo?" She wasn't expecting anyone, and she didn't know of any friends who were close enough to visit, so who was it?

message 41: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) "Oh, err, hello," Eli said into the mic, taking on a nervous quality to his voice. "I, uh, just rented an apartment here, and it seems I've forgotten my keys inside my apartment and might you have a master key? I'm terribly sorry." His words were rushed, nervous, but his face was completely impassive. Either she would buzz him in, or she wouldn't, and he would rather not attract attention by breaking the door down. He had strict orders: no commotion, no fuss, no media. And that meant no breaking down doors.

message 42: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi smiled sympathetically when she heard his voice. She had had the same situation happen to her in her first week here. A couple of times actually. She was glad she had such a good neighbor like Marcella. She pressed the button again and quickly said. "Yeah, one sec, I'll get the keys." She buzzed him in and rushed over to one of the shelves in the kitchen and reached up into the bowl where she kept them. Scooping them out of the bowl, she walked back over to the door and looked out her peek hole to see if the man from the intercom was there.

message 43: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Eli strode purposefully up the stairs to the second floor, checking to make sure his .45 was still tucked into the waistband of his jeans at the small of his back and his knives still on him. He slipped one into the sleeve of his leather jacket, within quick reach, and stopped in front of the plain wooden door, expression part embarrassed, part hopeful, for the girl's sake. She didn't suspect a thing. He doubted she even knew of her father's involvement with forces best left alone.

message 44: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi spotted the man and smiled sympathetically. She slid open the dead bolt on the door, before unlocking the handle as well. She opened the door slowly, smiling at the man who stood there, before holding out her keys. "Here, this should help you get into your apartment." she said, smiling. She shivered again, for no apparent reason.

At that moment, her neighbor Marcella, opened her door and walked out into the hallway with them to collect her mail. "Hi Lexi." she said brightly. "New neighbor?" She asked, motioning to the strange man.

Lexi nodded. "Left his keys in his apartment."

Marcella chuckled. "He wasn't the only one who did that."

Lexi blushed.

message 45: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Damn. Of all times this woman could have decided to get her mail. He had been counting on an in and out. A quick job. Eli slipped his knife further into the back of his sleeve, completely put of view. He smiled at the newcomer, then at Lexi, accepting the keys. "Do you- uh, should I bring these back once I get my apartment unlocked?" he asked, tilting his head towards the stairs as he took in Lexi's blush. He could easily guess who had forgotten their keys before.

message 46: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Lexi broke out of the daze she was in, remembering her past and looked up at him in surprise. "Huh, what?" She immediately asked before shaking her head and frowning. "I mean... sure. That would be great thanks." she said, smiling politely at him. She turned to Marcella. "Thanks again for picking up that package for me yesterday. Don't know what I'd do if I didn't hear from my mom. Probably die of loneliness." She joked, but there was a serious undertone.

Marcella nodded. "No problem honey. What did she get you this time?"

Lexi smiled. "Paintings, stuff she painted herself, so that I could have a little bit of her here with me." She said softly. Worried that she would start crying in front of the world, Lexi backed into her apartment and shut the door after her.

message 47: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Before Eli could mumble a thanks, the door closed in his face, and he was left alone in the hallway with this Marcella. "Bad relations with her parents?" he asked Marcella congenially, making the outward appearance of small talk. But the more he knew about Lexi and her habits, the better. He spun the key lazily around one finger, taking in the sparse hallway, stairwell, and doorways with one quick, attentive glance.

message 48: by Lara (new)

Lara (gurlwhowrites) | 8327 comments Marcella nodded, leaning against the railing to the stairwell and sighing. "Abusive father, absent mother, and no money." she shook her head. "That kid's been through a lot. Though I think she's making it ok now."

Lexi slumped against the door, locking it before she sank to the floor and hugged her knees to her chest. She leaned her forehead on them and allowed the tears to flow. She missed her mom, who had been the only real parent in her life, and at the same time, she wished she had never known her. Lexi tipped her head back and looked up at the ceiling through her tears. "Why is life so hard on me?"

message 49: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) Eli wondered which parent had made the deal and for what. He had not been privy to that information. "She seems tough. It's good she's getting along," he said, nodding. "I'll just go unlock my door now. I'll see you around maybe?" And with a smile, he went down the stairs, Marcella disappearing from view. "Or hopefully never. F*cking neighbors," he mumbled under his breath. He slid his knife out of his sleeve and back into its sheath, loitered at the base of the stairs a few seconds, and then went back up. Marcella was still at her door, sorting through mail. "I'll just leave these with you then?" Eli asked, tossing the keys to Marcella.

message 50: by corina (new)

corina (molteneyes) ((I have to go, bye!))
