Katherine | 2 comments If the apocalypse was to hit tomorrow which kind of apocalypse would be the most terrifying biological (like a virus of some kind, zombies, vampires, etc), mother nature's fury, extraterrestrial (like solar flares or aliens, etc) or a world nuclear war and why?

Will Once (willonce) | 35 comments I'm feeling a little sorry for this thread. Posted back in March and not a single response. Let's see if we can remedy that.

Most terrifying? For me that would be something I didn't understand and couldn't see. The dark is always scarier than the light, right? So I think I would be more terrified of something in the shadows. That could be something supernatural, like vamps or zombies but only at the beginning when you didn't know what they were or what they did.

In the film Alien, the xenomorph was scariest when you didn't see it.

Probably the most terrifying would be if you couldn't trust friends, family, neighbours. Something like the Invasion of the Body Snatchers or The Fog by James Herbert.

Laura Hansen | 1 comments What about all going dark, like Asimov's Nightfall? All was light then all was darkness.

Many simply went mad, but think: how do you create light when all goes dark and electricity fails you?

You make fire.
