LOL Vivian. My SIL is always commenting on how their "bathing suits" couldn't be any smaller. Not that she's complaining. ;)

Finished Mortal Ties today. Things are starting to heat up. I did think it was hilarious when (view spoiler) Got to meet lots of new people in this book. Some I liked, some I didn't. Can't wait to read the next book and see how this is all going to play out.Rule (view spoiler)
I've been
Sucks when you're all caught up and gotta wait. We'll all soon be waiting along with ya, Daffodil. :)
Isen (view spoiler). So much happened in the last 10-15% of this one (Blood Challenge). Can't wait to start the next book!
Finished Death Magic, almost caught up! Brain overload from so much happening in the last two books. There's such interesting lore but it's borderline info-dumpy for me. Need to take a short break before starting #9.Not at all relevant to the plot, but when Cullen (view spoiler)
Ruben. (view spoiler)
Lily (view spoiler)
I was thinking that too, Vivian (Cullen). And, I have to take a break between these, can read 2 back-to-back before I need a break usually. They're ... dense (? not sure what word accurately suits my thought) reads. Oh and Lily ... really liking that storyline.
I just got done with Death Magic as well I am hoping to catch up this month but we will see. I can understand what you mean by these books being dense. There is so much going on I am curious about what is going to happen next. I want to know what is going to happen with Cynna and is this wedding every going to happen? lol they have been talking about this wedding for ever now!
Raquel (Rocki) wrote: "There is so much going on I am curious about what is going to happen next"Me too! :D
LOL I've been a bit slack but as its re-reading for me I'm not worried. I'm starting Night Season shortly, and really enjoying the re-read. And glad I can read the spoilers and not sucker punch myself :D
Yes, I feel like we've been talking about the wedding forever! The spoilers are tempting but I've been really good about resisting until after I finish the book.
Anyone know how many books are planned for the series?
Finished Ritual Magic. I really liked it. (view spoiler) It's nice to see them beat Friar yet again. It was really sad about (view spoiler) It was nice to see (view spoiler) again, however briefly. (view spoiler) The series seems to be getting nearer and nearer to a big climax and I don't want it to end!!!
Vivian, Eileen doesn't answer that question on her website, so I am guessing that she doesn't really have a definite endpoint yet, though I could be wrong.
Finished Unbinding. I enjoyed it, even though it wasn't about Rule and Lily. It was nice to see more of Nathan and Kai. I was also quite happy that (view spoiler) is becoming more prominent of a character; I like him. Looks like next book is back to Lily, which is the way I like it.
Finished Mind Magic. Enjoyed it a lot and love the new character, Demi. Was a bit confused about one thing though (view spoiler) Was sad about (view spoiler). New bad guy- is he dead or not? I'm guessing not since he hasn't done much yet. (view spoiler) And the news about dragons; so exciting!!! Can't wait to see more of (view spoiler) Very excited that book 13 comes out tomorrow.
Finished #12 on NYE :D I'm anxious to find out what happens in #13,
, so I'll probably start that sooner rather than later. Sad I'll have to wait for releases now, along with everyone else who's current with the series. Glad I re-read #1-3 b/c I liked it SO much more than I did the first time around in '09. This was a fun series read throughout 2016. Hopefully I'll enjoy 2017's as well!(SIDE NOTE: Hope everyone will join us for our 2017 series read: Jennifer Estep's Elemental Assassin)
I heard that as well Daffodil and I know I will hate that part when I read it. #12 was so good though I just finished in time before the end of 2016!!!! So I of course have to know more about these dragons and what is about to happen! Thank you SOS for pulling me into another series I have to keep caught up with, not that I'm complaining I love having more books. :P I really liked Demi as well and hope we see more of her.
Daffodil wrote: "Warning: Dragon Spawn ends in a GIANT cliffhanger!"Oh no! I really wanted to read that now but don't know if I wanna start my Lupi wait with a GIANT cliffhanger. :( Aw man. Being current, or this close to it, is new to me with her series. Does she release only once a year or more than one a year? Don't know that I want to wait a year to find out what happens after DS. Might have to put off starting it for a bit.
I second Rocki's thanks shout out. I've loved reading this series throughout 2016.
They've been released pretty much about a year apart, excluding short stories. 1 per year, except 2011 -- one in January and one in November. Eileen Wilks' website, says Dragon Blood will come out in "2017 ... probably"
Probably? That doesn't sound promissing:( But don't you want to know what happens with the dragons after Mind Magic, Steph? :)
Thanks, Daffodil. LOL! Of course I do! Buuuuuut, a GIANT cliffhanger + a (maybe) year before we find out what's next?! Eek! I'm sure I won't be able to hold off for that long. Right now, I'm reading one of the last two shorts I skipped - Human Nature. I've got one other short TBR, then I'll be *forced* to move onto #13. ;)
Finished #9(?) last week and really glad this series was picked last year! It has been so much fun reading and chatting about the books with everyone even if I did fall way behind the last half of the year :)
I've thoroughly enjoyed it too! I've still got 1 short (I think) and Dragon Spawn #13 TBR. I'm holding off for a bit to cut the wait for #14.
I read Dragon Spawn last month and greatly enjoyed it. Maybe my idea of a cliffhanger is different than most, but I call the ending more of a twist than a cliffhanger. To me, a cliffhanger means you don't know what happened (for example, someone gets shot and you don't know if they are dead or not). At the end of the book, we know roughly what happened, we just don't know how they are going to fix it. Or maybe it's just because there is a brief snippet in the back of the book about the next book and it settles the cliffhanger for me, because I think that's where it is explained what happened. Either way, I'm looking forward to the next book but I don't feel like I was left hanging.
