Kelsi (kelsi_betsy) Hello, I was wondering if you could help me find a book. It was a middle grade novel, and the edition I found was a paperback. I saw it very recently at the bookstore, but when I came back a week later it was gone and I have forgotten the title and the author. The cover had a redhead girl with freckles on it, and there were rays of sunshine on it and I think the title was etched in white letters. The plot was about how this girl in North Carolina (Or South Carolina?) was lonely because the third letter to her cousin goes unanswered. But when this boy comes to stay for the weekend, the girl knows he's the One. Determined to secure a friendship with him, the girl shows him everything he wants to see. A bear? Sure! A ghost? Well, she can manage that too. But when her antics go too far and I think endanger the boy, the girl may lose the one true friend she ever had.
It's not Pippy Longstocking, just so you know. I already tried that. :(
Oh, and the first chapter started out with a letter to her cousin.

Anything that can help me find the book will be appreciated!! :D

Kristina | 137 comments I would think Anne of Green Gables, but I don't remember her trying to impress a visitor or writing a cousin.

A new book. And no, it isn't Anne of Green Gables. But thank you. :)

That's a link to a group called Physics Documentation, with a topic on quantum mechanics books?
