HI and thanks so much for this group. I'm pretty sure it was a Scholastic book. The little girl has a pet rat or mouse. Her aunt/great-aunt is coming for a visit and her mom tells her she has to get rid of it. But when the visitor comes, she likes the little creature, too.
I remember reading this book on the bus on the way home from school and really loving it. Can anyone help with name of book? Thanks!
