SOLVED. Chick lit - maybeparanormal?? [s]

This is a dead tree book that was started at a store (Target) when out of town. Thinking the book could be recognized/found once back home, not much attention was paid to the title or author.

A pregnant woman and her husband were in a car accident on Christmas Eve - husband and unborn child were killed. Woman is griefstricken and won't leave her home - keeps seeing and talking to her dead husband's ghost. Her mother wants to rid the house of all the stuff in the nursery, and get the woman to get out of the house and start her life again....that's as far as reader got. Also thinks the book may have had a turquoise cover with large white script.

This was for a friend - she never got to read the end of the book, she was just reading it while in a store, so unfortunately, I don't have any more info. Oh! I do remember her saying it took place in NYC.
