this book is about a teenage girl who lives in some state in the us, a warm state like California I believe and she has boyfriend and a best friend who is Asian. she finds out that she has to move and is really upset especially since she has to move to some cold state. she has a hard time making friends especially when she tells people about her uncle tom crooz who makes movies and they think she is talking about tom cruise and call her a liar. she gets impailed by an ice pick at some point and has a banged up face. when her best friend and boyfriend come to visit her it turns out that they started dating. it is in all a pretty depressing book but it kind of ends on a happyish note I believe.
