Roberto Pinchas November 9 which comes out on November 10th has 404 ratings and 229 reviews. Really people?

Chris Penna Interesting choice of dates! Started this book and it hooked me before I finished the first chapter. On page 95 so far.

message 3: by Lee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Lee I got it on audiobook/pdf started on the 10th finished on
the 12th could have started a lot earlier. But was already
reading The Time Of the Clockmaker. Also arc the arc readers
got their copies early too.

Maria the book also was available in many US stores before release date..like a week before!

Mrsbooks I really wish people wouldn't review novels before they come out as well. I think it's a tactic to get a lot of likes that allows them to remain on the first page. After they gather their likes by declaring how much they want to read this book they edit their "review" to a real one after the book is published thus keeping themselves on page 1.

That's my theory anyways. Maybe it doesn't really work like that?

Sydney Rouse Authors usually collaborate with companies (like Goodreads) to get early attention. This helps to get readers talking about the book so that other people want to read it for themselves! Usually the reviews are honest because they are people like you and me. For example, I was sent an early copy of "The Island" by Adrian McKinty through Goodreads Giveaways. The book hadn't come out at the time, but I gave it a three stars because that's the rating that sought fit for me. I do recommend reading books no matter the rating though because each person has different tastes and you may like books that other people don't!
