Hi! I'm Pamila and live in Texas. I just joined and trying to figure out how to get my 2016 bookshelf in order. I've read 17 books so far this year and will match the books I've read with the list.

Hi, I'm Anna from Budapest, Hungary. I found this challenge yesterday, and as the categories sounded really interesting, I decided to join. I have already read 69 books this year, so I'm hoping to find something for the weeks I've missed. I haven't participated in a challenge before, so I've really no idea how this works, but will look into the posts and try to figure it out. I'm omnivorous - I like to read anything.
Welcome Anna!
69 books? I'm impressed! You shouldn't have any issue finishing the challenge. There's a bunch of intro posts but feel free to ask any questions here.

Thanks Laura for welcoming me. I've been looking at the posts and have gathered a lot of information from them.
Hey, I'm Sarah! And I'm a BookTuber...sorta lol I kinda have one foot in the door, but sometimes I just make videos about random stuff I felt like sharing.I'm not a morning person, and I don't really know what genre I love to read specifically, that isn't to say that I don't have one, I just can't be bothered to figure it out. My best guess is that I like novels that are more set in our own world and are more light and fun...Fantasy, High Fantasy, and Science Fiction all kinda intimidates me.
I love dogs, coffee, and many things that have to do with Art! I also like a lot of tv shows, and ironically, my genre preference is sorta different when it comes to tv shows because I get bored with sitcoms. I like intense and thrilling tv shows, and I guess that is all...I'm sorry this post end up being so long.
I mainly join this channel because I am trying to read a lot of books this year, so this should be a real good group for me! :-)
Welcome Sarah :)
You'll find plenty of different genres in the group since we tried to make the list applicable to all of the different ones. We do have an off-topic thread going for tv shows. I watch a crazy number of shows so I'm always up for some discussion there ;)

Hey! I'm Astrid, 29, from Denmark. This group was recommended to me by a friend here on Goodreads, so I'm jumping in - even if I am a little late :) I'll see if any of the books I've read so far can match the categories.
I like most genres except thrillers, but my favourites would probably be non-fiction (especially history), fantasy and historical fiction.
Hello, my name is Kara. I just found this group, but I've been partaking in the 2016 Reading Challenge anyway. I had a month where I was working internationally so didn't get a lot of reading time in, but I'm back on track! Feel free to add me as a friend as I love seeing the books people are currently reading and have read.
Hi all! I am coming late to this challenge but now have the "bug" from participating in my first challenge elsewhere. I live in Texas and enjoy all types of reading. I have found these challenges push my boundaries of what I thought I would like.
Thanks for having me on board
Welcome Astrid, Kara, and Christa! Glad to have you all. I hope you'll check out the 2016 Plans folder and make your own 2016 plan. It's fun to see what everyone's reading. Ask any questions you may have and enjoy yourselves. :)

Love the idea of this group. I am Karen from Missouri. I am about 1/2 the year late in finding it, but I just quite my job to stay home so finally have time for book challenges. I just finished a non-fiction book so I am starting with this week and debating how much to do for the goal. I have read 38 so far this year but had no plan to stick with except the yearly book challenge. Thank you for the group. So looking forward to doing as many as possible to finish up the year here.
Hi Karen, see if you can use the books you already read to check some categories of the challenge ;)
Hi,I've just joined this group and like some other members, I've got a ton of TBR books and am looking for some incentive to get through them! I enjoy historical mysteries, Young Adult, fantasy, science fiction, and classics, but I will read just about anything if it catches my attention.
I'm a little confused just ATM about how to keep track of my books, but hope to get the hang of it quickly. :)
Hi BookWyrm! Most of us create a thread in the 2016 Plans section, which is a good starting point. I also have a spreadsheet which tracks all of my books for various challenges (which is a good way also to put multiple possibilities for each week if you're undecided. :)
Hi, I'm Dina. I discovered this challenge through BookTube (which I discovered this year and am so addicted to :). I started watching BookTube as a way to discover great new reads in other genres than my usual (historical fiction and mystery). I am now loving so many other genres, especially fantasy. I plan to continue exploring new reads and know this challenge will help.

Thanks, Jody! I seem to be having a bit of a problem; I didn't get an email verification so I've asked to have another one sent. Hopefully that one will show up and I can create my plan. :)
Hello All, Michele from Longmont Colorado here. I am really late to this party but this group was recommended by my friend in a good thriller group when i asked about challenges, what they were, etc etc.
I am looking forward to participating !
I am looking forward to participating !
Welcome Michele, I hope you're going to be happy with us! Don't hesitate to ask questions, we are very open and helpful ;)Happy reading!
Thanks Sophie, i am sure i will have lots of questions LOL. I am having fun plugging in books already read this year into the challenge. Kind of like a puzzle :)
Hi, guys! My name is Kirsten and I live in eastern Washington State. I discovered this challenge in another group where someone mentioned it. I hope I'm not too late.
No problem in joining late, you can use the books you read this year if they fit in some categories, complete just what you can/prefer or read all the books if your a quick reader :)
Hello! I am very late in hopping aboard but I have become pretty addicted to reading challenges lately, and this one looks really fun! I'm Taylor, 23, and a stay-at-home mom from Oregon, US. I read books from pretty much every genre, but my favorites are fantasy, sci-fi, and historical fiction and non-fiction. Looking forward to getting caught up and seeing what everyone is reading!
Hi, I'm Tracey and I loved the reading challenge you have. Since I have only just joined can I use books I have read this year in the challenge? I have already read 86 books for my good reads challenge of reading 100 books this year. Thanks :)
Hi, welcome to the group! I joined in late too, in April, and used some of my 2016 books for this challenge.
Welcome girls! It's really nice to see people joining during the year! If you're interested, we are currently creating the list for next year, you can have all the info in the "projects" section.
I'm Denise, I live in New York and I just joined today. Very late in the year. I responded to a friend's invitation to join the group. I will fill in books I've read this year that fit the topics and hope to join in the discussions as soon as I'm caught up with that. I find this all a bit confusing at first but hope to catch on asap.
Hello I'm Ebony, I live in Texas, and I just joined. I know it's rather late, but I felt like I could definitely catch up. I've read about 32 books this year, and I know several of them match up with the list. I also find this all a tad confusing, but hopefully I'll catch on soon.
Hi Ebony! Welcome! If you need help with anything, just ask. The people and the mods here are really helpful.
Hi I'm Donna and I'm looking forward to joining this book a week challenge half way through the year. Great idea to have weekly topic to you challenges - hopefully this will get me to read outside my comfort zone! I'm jumping right in there on #28 and reading a Donald Trump book.
I usually enjoy crimes, thrillers and TV tie in books.

I can tell you're dedicated. Willing to bring The Donald into your home.
Hey, Donna! Let me know how the Trump book is. Been wanting to get it but I have sooooo many books to read already!
Hi everyone, my name is Rachel. I just happened to come across this group and decided to give it a shot. I am currently living in Illinois. I have a 18 year old who will be leaving for college soon so I feel I will be reading even more. I don't know that I have a favorite genre really as I will almost read anything. It may take me a bit to figure this out so please let me know if I am doing something wrong. Thanks and have a blessed day.
Hi everyone, I'm Anna. I love reading challenges and found this group so I figured I might as well join in, even if it's super late! I'm 16, from Ontario. I mostly choose books based on plot so I'll read most genres but I seem to choose mostly contemporary, with some modern classics and historical fiction thrown in. I'm an IB student, so school is really busy for me but I'm going to try to join in for the remaining weeks.
Hi, MKay here. I just found this group and thought it sounded fun. I challenged myself to 50 books and am ahead a little so maybe I can keep up! I am from Texas, work full time and spend most weekends with grandbabies so reading time is a little less than I'd like. I have read many books I had never even heard of since joining some other groups and hope this group introduces me to more.
Welcome to the group! I'm sure you'll hear plenty of new books within the group. My TBR has never stopped growing :)
Hi MKay and welcome to our group! If you browse the folders, you can see that we just started a week-long read-a-thon, don't hesitate to join!
Hello MKay! Welcome! Jump right in and have fun. Your TBR will overflow in this group, be warned. ;)
It is indeed a friendly and lively group, Katie. We're glad to have you be part of it. It is never too late to join in. Many latecomers try to fit the books they've already read into the challenge so go ahead and jump right in. We're presently working on our list for 2017. Keep your eye on this topic if you'd like to get involved with that.
Hi, all, I'm Trea! I was searching Goodreads for a book I am currently reading and found that the 2015 group had a discussion for it. Being curious, I checked out said discussion and became intrigued by the challenge, so I wandered my way over to this group! I'll be posting a plan here shortly and going through my back list of read books for the year to see what I have that fits!
