U.S. Route 66 was one of the original highways within the U.S. Highway System and was established November 11, 1926. It originally encompassed 2448 miles miles and was removed officially from the highway system on June 27, 1985.
So, in honor of Route 66's November birthday we are going to take our challenge from famous and notable sights/locations along the historical Route 66 route.
