Marina | 1312 comments - What are you reading this week?
Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

- Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
Honestly, I can't remember. I only remember thinking that I should read this book.

- Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
There's quite a few actually: All the Light We Cannot See, Brave New World, Shutter Island, The Bell Jar and Slaughterhouse-Five were all on my list last year, and they are all on my list this year also :-)

Julia (_mj_howard) Child 44 (Leo Demidov, #1) by Tom Rob Smith

- What are you reading this week?
I read this book in the first week of February, so a little late, but it was one I wanted to read last year and didn't get to.
- Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
This book was recommended by a girlfriend who's recommendations never go wrong, and she was right again, it was a great book.
- Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
Definitely, looking at this list there are some great choices, I just don't know which ones I'll read yet.

message 155: by Elise (new)

Elise (theblackhorizon) I started Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov.

I didn't do a challenge last year, but this one has been on my shelf for 15 years!

I have another 200 or so that've gone unread since before I even joined Goodreads in 2008. I'll use several of those throughout this challenge.

message 156: by Libscigrl (new)

Libscigrl | 39 comments I tried to read Holy Sh*t: A History of Swearing by Melissa Mohr.
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

I really wanted to like this book because I like to swear, but man was it dry. You'd think a book about swearing would at least be funny, but this read like the worst textbook ever.

message 157: by Alexis (new)

Alexis (TheSlothReader) For this challenge I read A Darker Shade of Magic by VE Schwab. I'll be seeing her in two months for a book signing and I had meant to read this book last year anyway so I decided to start this year out with it.

Trick by Natalia Jaster

Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
It's just a book from my tbr. I started this in 2015, but I got distracted. So I started this again this year and finished it :)

Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
I started quite a few books in 2015. So I hope I will finish those.

GailW (abbygg) | 657 comments What are you reading this week?
I read My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry by Fredrik Backman
Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
It is part of my 2015 Reading Challenge in another group and a book that I own from my reading list
Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
Lol. Yes. I have read two others so far, and have another 20 on my TBR. I'll pick it in one of two ways: 1.) It's an author I read faithfully or 2.) it fits a selection in the myriad of challenges I am in. (I'm a bit Type A....)

message 160: by Cherie (new)

Cherie | 32 comments Not really reading it order this year!

Progress Post:
- What are you reading this week? The Venetian Betrayal - Steve Berry

- Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list? Just a book from the reading list. I had started the series last year, thought I'd get to this one but didn't.

- Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year? Nothing specifically - I finished the 2015 challenge

message 161: by Monique (new)

Monique | 66 comments What are you reading this week?
The Thrill of Falling
Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
It was a book that I meant to read for the 2015 challenge but I left it a week too late so it worked perfectly for this.
Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
I read every other book for the 2015 challenge.

message 162: by Aine (new)

Aine | 179 comments What are you reading this week?"
The Bone Clocks by David Mitchell

Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
This is my first year doing the reading challenge. I've been meaning to read The Bone Clocks since it came out. But I've loved everything Mitchell ever did and am sometimes nervous about having unreasonable expectations of a book. So I put off reading them. I shouldn't have worried. Loved this!

Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this tear?
The Narrow Road to the Deep North and A Brief History of Seven Killings spring to mind. But there are lots....

message 163: by Amy (new)

Amy (thenikitagirl) | 244 comments What are you reading this week?
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn

Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
This is my first time participating in a reading challenge, so no it wasn't removed from 2015. It's just one that everyone has talked about and the public seems really split on whether they loved or hated it, so I wanted to see what the fuss was all about and because I really want to watch the movie and have avoided it until I read it.

Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
Possibly Girl on the Train, Modern Romance, quite a few actually.

- Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year? I honestly don't remember everything that originally on last years list.

Serena.. Sery-ously? (serenacolouroutsidethelines) | 8 comments Hello!
I'm definetely NOT reading in order :D

For week 1, I read "The woman in white" by Collins.. It didn't satisfy me at all, mostly because I HATED the characters (Marian and Count I loved, though).. The story itself is lame, but I appreciated Collins' writing.. It is so worth it!
I planned to read it with a friend in september, but we ended reading it in january! :)

Adam Smith (chaos624) | 1197 comments I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife. I did plan on reading it last year, but ended up reading a different The Time Traveler's Wife by mistake. It was bizarre and didn't make a lick of sense. I really should have done research before reading.

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments Haha Adam you're weren't lucky to read this strange short story!

I hope you're going to like this book thought, I'm looking forward to seeing it through a male perspective.

message 171: by Adam (new)

Adam Smith (chaos624) | 1197 comments It was pretty bad. Suffice to say, one of the primary characters was the main character's left nipple. It was weird.

message 176: by Tawallah (new)

Tawallah | 0 comments What book are you reading?

I am late to this challenge and reding out of order. The book I chose for this was Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes, #1) by Sara Raasch

I had planned to read for a book of the month but didn't get a chance to read it. Can't remeber if I had added to the books I had planned as part of my 2015 GR challenge.

The other 2015 books I have read so far include: Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys Mr Penumbra's 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan and Faking Normal by Courtney C. Stevens .
Will get to others on my list this year.

°~Amy~° (amybooksit) - What are you reading this week?

I read a sci fi novel, Quarter Share, by Nathan Lowell for week 1

- Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?

It was a book that I set aside to do the 2015 challenge.

- Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?

Oh there are several. I tried to use books that I already owned in some format to fill all the challenges. In some cases I had to revert to library or kindle unlimited books however. So many were bought or I meant to read last year.

Stacey D. | 1908 comments What are you reading this week? The extremely captivating All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.

Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list? No, it was a book from my reading list that I was eager to read, but I never found the time for last year.

Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year? Plenty. By my count, I have over 30 books on my TBR published in the 2014/2015 timeframe, which I'll try to make a dent in before the year is out. A couple are The Night Sister, The Bees, Everybody Rise and Trompe l'Oeil: A Novel, to name a few.

Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
The rest of the Emily series and A Passage to India The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and Beneath a Marble Sky

Rachel A. (abyssallibrarian) | 3266 comments What are you reading this week?
The Secret Between Us. It's actually my second choice. I originally wanted to read Before the Storm, but the library said it was out of print.

Was it a book you deleted from your 2015 Reading Challenge plan or just a book from your reading list?
It wasn't in my plan, but it was a book that I first heard about last year when I was looking at recommendations. The plot instantly caught my attention. There are other books I discovered last year, of course, but nothing that I necessarily want to read immediately.

Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
Nothing really jumps out at me right now. The few books that I really wanted to read after last year have already been read for this year's challenge.

I rented it from the library but then ran out of time to read it. I'm glad I got to read it this year.

- Is there another 2015 book you'll try to read this year?
The other one I wanted to read last year was See Me and I read that earlier this year.
