Sara I am in love with the Fever series!!! KMM does a wicked job writing these novels and I was wondering how The Highlander series is? I would love to read more KMM!!

Vanessa Eden Patton Girl, read it! It is so freaking good! I literally couldn't stop! This book got me into KMM's books! You won't regret it.

Sara Omg! Thank you!!!! That's so exciting!!!

Michielle They are a great read, but not the same style as the Fever series. These are more along the romance genre. And each book centers around a different couple. They also give you a bit of insight on what will happen in the Fever series.

Mary Bess I myself loved them more then the Fever. All were great

Melody Mongeon the fever world is a much darker story line the highlander series is more romantic with the alpha males still chivalrous towards females. they want to keep the ugly away from their females in fever the males want to see the women mud wrestle it and expect them to win.

J.A. Templeton Read it! The Highlander series are time travel romances. I have every single title on my shelf. I don't think anyone can write an alpha male quite like KMM. She's amazing!

Becky The Highlander series is amazing. waiting, hoping & wishing for another book in this series but so far none:( would not have stumbled onto fever series if not for these amazing books. Love me a highland male yum

LOL, great way to summarize them!!

Gayle I loved the Highlander series..You will find out a bit more about Christian's uhmm..background I guess..:)

Donna I stumbled onto Darkfever and then checked out her other books and found that the Highlander one's were a 'sort of' prequel, so in between waiting for books 4 and 5 of 'Fever' I read all the Highlanders and am very glad I did - yes more traditional paranormal romance than urban fantasy, but GREAT writing and world-building and memorable characters (loooooved Daegus!)

Latoya I totally agree with Reba. I wish there was another book in the series. The Fever series is definitely different, just as good. But I much prefer the romance, time travel thing that was going on in the Highlander series.
The male leads are remarkable.

Melanie Tikalsky The Highlander books are a prelude to the Fever Series, everything that happens in them is for a reason that is revealed later in the Fever series... they are ultimately connected.

Sara Is it important to read these in order??? I've read the first two, and I started Kiss of the Highlander and just realized that The Highlanders Touch was supposed to be next!!

I think they should be read in order. But I don't remember if anything major happens in the 3rd book. I want to say it does, but I don't want to spoil it. It has been a few years since I read them.

Madelyn Asisi These books can easily stand alone. I read them out of order. The Fever series, on the other hand, I read in order, and could not wait for the next installment. Wow !! The Fever series would make one awesome movie !

Dee really the only two that need to be read in order, IMHO are books 4, and 5 (Daegus and Druston - although I spelt them wrong) - because they are twins and the storyline is intertwined

Sara Just finished reading The Immortal Highlander!! OMG!!!! What an amazing book! I am in love with Adam Black!! This is was probably my favourite one out of all of them!!! I couldn't believe how things turned out and what kind of sacrifice he made for Gabrielle!!!! I sooooo wish that KMM would do follow up stories for these books! But I heard that she was focusing on the fever series more and that she probably won't do the romance thing anymore :( , which would be a total bummer because she is awesome at it!!!

Latoya Agreed Sara. I finished all her romances and I wish there were more. The Fever series are great but I prefer the Highlanders.

I always perk up and pay closer attention when the Highlanders are mentioned in the Fever series. But it is always too short of an appearance.

I think that one reason why she has not brought them in more often is because we, or at least myself, kind of like to see them in the "happy" little world they were written in. If you can call everything they went through "happy." And if they are written into the Fever Series too much, then we will have to acknowledge that they no longer live in that world. But in the devastated world of the Fever series. At least that is what comes to mind when they make an appearance. I am happy to see them, but them the shock hits that their wives and children are going through the same thing as everyone else. And, the fact that they were not able to save the world.

Latoya Well said. I am definitely one who appreciates the happily ever after with the Highlanders.
