25%: (view spoiler)[ I absolutely love this book so far. I hate how when they were heading to pick cabbage, E.Z. got eaten alive by the worms. I hate that Sam had to burn his friend’s body. I really hate how Orc is getting drunk all the time. I am glad that he came back though. (hide spoiler)]

50%: (view spoiler)[ I like how Orc can go into the field to get cabbage. I think that it is amusing how he gets “beered”. I don’t really like how they formed a Council because I think that it gives certain people rights and other it doesn’t. (hide spoiler)]

75%: (view spoiler)[ I don’t see why Caine won’t leave everyone alone. I hate how they are fighting over the power. I really don’t like Diana and how she is controlling Jack. I wish that Jack would just stay on one side. I hate how Caine kills Brittney when she goes to defend herself. (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[ I didn’t really like the ending of this book. I hate how Lana is still influenced by the creepy monster. I think that Caine should have left the power plant alone and then nobody would have died. I like how Orc defends all of Sam’s people. (hide spoiler)]

25%: (view spoiler)[ I really am starting to not like Lana. I don’t see why she would go back to the mine if she knew the Darkness was there. I think that it is creepy how Brittney comes back from the dead. I don’t really know what to think about Orsay since she is willing to join either side. (hide spoiler)]

50%: (view spoiler)[ I have a little sympathy towards Diana and Caine since they have to eat Panda after he is killed. I hate how Mary believes what Orsay tells her. I hope Sanjit gets the helicopter working. I hate how Zil burns the town for Caine. I feel bad for Sam since he has to lead everything and everyone. (hide spoiler)]

75%: (view spoiler)[ I feel bad for Peace, Virtue, and Sanjit when Caine finds them on the island. I like how Sanjit is smart and drugs them when he know that Caine will kill them. I like how Diana actually has a heart and saves them from Caine. I like how Caine cares that much about Diana. (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[ I hate how Mary finally gives in and I hate how Orsay tricks her into taking the children off the cliff with her. I am glad that Dekka was able to save the kids from splatting on the rocks below. I didn’t expect Orsay’s friend Nerissa to be the Darkness. I’m still confused as to whether or not Brittney is Drake or not. I am glad that they were able to save Lana as well as they could. I really loved this book. (hide spoiler)]
