Kaitlyn Santos This week in my English class is focusing on conflict. They´re two types of conflict, and they are internal (man v.s himself) and external. External conflict can be man v.s man, man v.s nature, and man v.s society. I have noticed lots of external conflicts (Ex. the storm, Thomas and Brenda getting separated from the rest of the group, cranks, etc.) However, I haven noticed much internal conflict in the book. So please comment what internal conflicts you have found.

Nikita Well there's Thomas and knowing he could hold the cure. That's conflict. Survival can be conflict both internal and external depending on how you view it. Thomas's guilt over the loss of his friends knowing the risks it puts them but still believing it's for the best to stay alive and to escape Wicked. Internal conflict is Thomas's emotions regarding Theresa.

Arbré Écorce There is the internal conflict of Minho being named leader and Thomas actually wanting to be leader.

Do you think that Thomas not knowing to trust Teresa could be an internal conflict. I think it is but I'm not sure.

Yes, I think that could be an internal conflict. Because that's Thomas conflicting with himself over should he trust Teresa again.
