agree.
and when you check how many less votes next book got *shudders*

Anyway, I didn't find anything we have from that year (unless I missed it) and if nobody sees anything interesting on it, I have few books waiting to be read.

- Read a book where a character is a succubus/incubus

- Read a book which has the main location (setting) as a bus, train, or other road based vehicle

- Read a book co-written (and credited) to two authors

- Read a book where the title includes an ampersand

- Read a book where a character is cranky without coffee or chocolate

Yes, but that doesn't mean you can't. We go but first comes, gets it thing.

I don't think anyone is reading that transportation one if you need suggestion :P

Read a book that was originally published between 2000 and 2005

Used Venecia's Eragon

Read a book where the edition you are reading was published on the 16th of a month

message 570: by Venecia (new)

Venecia | 995 comments Question:
Read a book shelved (listed on the first page of the "top shelves" of the book) as all - plurals and minor spelling variations are acceptable

Does this mean it has been shelved as "All"?

message 571: by ❀Tea❀ (new)

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9625 comments Yep. It means that.

btw, you don't have to list all goals it fit. yes, it does help us but there are so many of them. it's enough to give us some interesting info. We'll ask if we need something specific and we can't find it.

Thing is we need to explain how it fits goal. So if you tell me that it fits character is a tradesperson goal, I'd need again to ask you to give me explanation when the goal come.

Most of the goals we can get from main book page, so there is really no need for you to list genres or search top shelves. We'll do that wen we get a goal. It does help if you mention words or idioms since that will save us time going through each book, but even I don't remember to check for all of them :P

message 574: by Venecia (new)

Venecia | 995 comments I'll be reading for this goal:
- Read a book where the title includes an ampersand

They all start with quotes from the Torah/Bible.

It's at home right now. I'll reply later with more details

So pretty much I can ignore stuff that is easily found from blurb or book page and concentrate on the goals that are not obvious and would require reading the book.

Read a book with no labeled chapters

Sophie (drsophie) | 5690 comments Mod
Either there are no chapters, or they aren't numbered/named. Not sure whether short sections all started by dates would count or not

message 583: by Venecia (new)

Venecia | 995 comments Sophie wrote: "Either there are no chapters, or they aren't numbered/named. Not sure whether short sections all started by dates would count or not"

I read a book that does not have chapter 1, 2 etc. but each section has a heading e.g.
Out in the cold
Home
The Basement and so on. Would that be what they are talking about?

I've just lifted this from https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Hopefully it'll answer...
Q. What does a goal "Read a book with no labeled chapters" mean? The book has no chapters at all or are the numbered chapters ok?
A. No chapters at all. So, not numbered or named. For example, we did a BOM earlier this year - Love Letters to the Dead which was like that

My interpretation would be that the heading would count as chapters

Would Eve Dallas from the In Death series count as someone who is cranky without coffee/chocolate? She has an ongoing battle with Roarke over the chocolate she eats...

message 588: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I would totally count Eve as someone who is cranky without chocolate OR coffee. Shudder. Don't get in her way when the chocolate goes missing!

That's different goal I think.
For this one there needs to be two authors under title

Oh so the two authors have to be actually listed on goodreads? Because that book is by 2 authors, but they put together their names as a pseudonym.

I finished everything started and I'm thinking about doing next BOM, but I'm not in the mood for it at them moment. And I could use it in several challenges. *sigh*

I might have possibility on transportation one. need to check when I read it last.
Or I can start another & book, if Venecia isn't reading it.

If we all read one they can always be used for another goal! I'm using the goals as a vague guide to prompt me, but if either of you want to read one then go for it! My copy is hiding in a box from the latest house move
