Holly (hollylovesbooks) | 759 comments Do you remember anything else about the plot or setting? Like, was it set nowadays or did it seem old-fashioned or like historical fiction? And were the ghosts children or adults? And were they nice ghosts or were they scary? And overall was the story sad, scary, or not really either? (if you can't answer all the questions, it's ok, haha)

Do you still have any friends back there? If so, maybe they'd be willing to check with her for you? Or you could write to the school. If the teacher is still there, then you'll get it found. And, depending on how big a school system it was, even if she isn't still there, the office may know where she is and could forward the letter. Perhaps put your letter to her inside a letter addressed to the principle or the librarian there.

Gilli | 8 comments Holly; i remember there being an old house, with and old lady living there with her grandchildren, maybe boy and girl. I remember that everything seemed like a normal story, yet only at the end do we discover that they are ghosts... I suck explaining. it wasnt scary, more eerie than anything and i think it ends with the human dying because the ending has something to do with the kids running along and not leaving footprints in the dirt, whilst all theoughout the story, theres only the humans set of foot prints with they play together...

And Ann; my teacher left that school to move to the town next door and the entire system has changed since and i dont have any contact with the town :(

Holly (hollylovesbooks) | 759 comments Ooh, that sounds really interesting! I'm really into kids' ghost stories, so if someone can figure this out, I'm going to go read it, haha.

Ah well, it was an idea Gilli. I remember moving a lot when I was a kid (Navy brat, here.) And how hard it is now to remember when/where I read a book. Was it something that was European, Southern, Pacific Coast. . . And yes, back in the 60's and 70's there was a BIG difference in what you'd find available in different parts of the country. It's not like now, where the same books can be found in NYC, DC, LA, NOLA, Seattle etc.

Holly (hollylovesbooks) | 759 comments Gilli, I actually made a Listopia with middle grade ghost stories the other day, so maybe it'll be on there. And if it's not, it can be added once it's found :]
