Also, one thing I remember from last year is to make sure that the email you use on Elfster is the same one you use for ARe.

Is that on top of your wish list? It looks like that is the notes from when the wish list was created. I didn't see place to edit that part. If you're linking just to a list on Amazon or GR, you could just create a new wish list and delete the old one pretty quickly.

Does anyone know if there are restrictions for Australians buying Amazon Kindle gifts? I've tried to buy a book for my person, but it won't go through properly. I keep getting the message that my bank requires me to 'retry the card I entered', which I've done numerous times. Of course, the one time I actually need to speak to my bank it's out of banking hours, so I can't get a hold of them till tomorrow, but I wasn't sure if it was their fault to begin with or an Amazon policy.

I would use ARe or the publisher in that case. Amazon has location restrictions.

On the Kindle book page on the right side under the send a sample box is a Give as Gift button.

Thanks Heather, but it turns out that it was my idiot bank's fault. Whenever they suspect there may have been suspicious or fraudulent activity not only on the card, but also attributed to a company I've just dealt with, they cancel my credit card without any warning or informing me!!! I've been going around using my card for the last two days, blithely unaware that it was cancelled on Monday and all my online purchases have been bouncing back with requests for a new payment method. I'm about to update all those purchases with another credit card, we'll see if I still have trouble buying gifts from Australia.

I've just checked and the purchase went through and I got an email to say the gift has been accepted. As far as I can tell gifting works from Australia.

Amazon restrictions are frustrating;
KJ.Charles books are on sale there - my match and nearly everyone I follow has listed one - it's so affordable and I can't gift it *stomp stomp* :(

I had only looked on my tablet before, but on my computer I see there's a little gear on the upper right side of my wish list that allows you to change the message on top of the list.

You could just send a message to your person through elfster letting them know.

Sorry if this has been asked before but the person I got doesn't have a wishlist, nor a goodreads (that i can find!) and i searched their name and everything!
I asked them in the anon Q&A what they're interested in and no reply yet. I think i may just get them a pretty good generic gift??

Hi Heather, I'm in the same boat, although a gift card was listed, and that kind of takes the wind out of my sails. I asked a question about if there was a GR profile and sent a message and no response.

My person has two different e-mail addresses on elfster I have sent her one book under one email but when I asked which email to use I have not had a reply back from her. I don't want to buy more books and she does not receive them. :( How can I confirm which is the correct one?

I think I confused everyone! I was trying to send out a broadcast to the latecomers (some people who just joined this past week) that I matched them up with people. EVERYONE ELSE IS FINE!
