This will help everyone on things that they need to read. You will be able to add new topics to this discussion. I will post one to give everyone an example of what I am talking about.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. There is no such thing as a stupid question.

I will literally not be able to keep up with myself... I own a lot of books. Lol.

I own close to 700 books. Surprisingly this seems like it might help me a bit. Plus when they are all sitting there on the same shelf sometimes it helps me go "oh yeah I've read that one already I need to read this one."

I'm the worst when I'm n a reading spree and I've finished a few books in a series and then it takes a while for the next to come out. I read so many series that i start to lose track of which ones I'm waiting for.

I peeked at your series tracker and we have read a lot of the same books. I was just browsing and I was like oh I've read that and I've started that.

That's awesome. I got totally carried away last night! I'm still not even done but it's such a good way to keep track. I'm dying to get the Wicked Will Rise in my library system on audio so I can listen to it in my car! I don't mind reading it but I love audiobooks. The acting is great. It's so entertaining. So much better than radio in the car.

I wanted to get to The Wicked Will Rise this year but I've got some other books on the docks that I've been meaning to read a lot longer. Of course I was going to read it this month and A Mad Zombie Party (White Rabbit Chronicles, #4) by Gena Showalter came out and I was all over that. I fell in love with those books and just had to get my hands on it and read it. Plus Paper Towns just took me to long to get through.

LOL, I can relate I like to call mine book-a-thons, or maybe binge reading is a better term. I have inhaled so many books and I try to stay in a series but sometimes it takes a long while before the next books comes out by the time it does so much time has passed I am totally distracted with life stuff and other books I am reading I forget till I happen to stumble upon it again.

This Series Tracker will be a great help! I am slowly finding books I have read and unfinished series not to mention current series, lol! Sooo many books and soo little time!

I am the same way. I will read the first book and them grab the rest of the series after they all come out and then sometimes re read the first book if it is not fresh in my mind. I am just to impatient to wait on the next book in a great series.

OMG I am such a series aholic...123 and still going...

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah I decided to try the series tracker out. I only listed a few that I can think of right now because I am still packing and stuff. As I go and remember I shall add. But I'm pretty sure I'll be up there with you because I like series more than I do stand-alones.

Series Junkies United lol

Ryan M (raneymarie) | 89 comments Andrea wrote: "Series Junkies United lol"

LOL! I only added the current series I want to finish, I never thought to add the series I have already finished!

Oh and I am sure there have been some I have forgotten for the moment that I will have to add when I remember... nothing like perusing the library shelves only to come across a book that looks interesting, (not remembering I have read it), until I thumb thru the first chapter, and then it hits me, "wait, I have read this!" - no wonder it looked interesting!

Since I have started compiling lists/shelves here on goodreads and joining this group I actually go into the library with a list of books I am looking for, makes it soo much easier! I still peruse, but it is a lot more productive now. :)

message 15: by Inky (new)

Inky I'm kind of thinking of setting this up for myself because I'm getting confused with all of the series I see on here and booktube in general but I'm kinda intimidated on where to start. Lol.

message 16: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
I love it because sometimes I'll start a series and the next book doesn't come out for a year or more and I'll forget about it so now I have a record.

message 17: by Inky (new)

Inky Anyone can start the discussion thing for this? If so I think I will start it. It'll be slow adding but I think you're right with helping keep track.

message 18: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Yup you can just start your own. It's also good for old series. I will throw in an old series that I never read that's so many books and then I'll forget so it reminds me what I need to get back to.

message 19: by Inky (new)

Inky Yeah I have old series that I've forgotten about and new ones that I've found but didn't realize they were in a series to begin with. Lol. I tried to do something like this on Evernote but I like the idea of seeing the covers.

message 20: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I love doing this. I can remember what I still need to read. I add books that have not even come out yet as well.

message 21: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
Okay so I went totally all the way through my books and checked at them all. I cannot believe I own that many books.

message 22: by [deleted user] (new)

I did that when I was packing for the move. And again as I unpacked. I'm shocked that I have so many. Lol.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
When Rochelle Mead brings out her new series next year I will be adding that one to the list.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Lol. I'm waiting for the new series by Cassandra Clare! XD

I need to finish the other two. I am reading Infernal Devices before I get back into Mortal Instruments. I am hoping it will help me get back into Mortal Instruments. I just am not really feeling Mortal Instruments but I am Infernal Devices. I cannot wait for the new series/Trilogy because I cannot for the life of me remember if it is supposed to be a series or Trilogy.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

I actually rereading both of those series. I haven't read the last two books for Mortal Instruments and I haven't read the last book to Infernal Devices. I like Mortal Instruments more. I don't really click with Infernal Devices. But honestly I think it's because I super ship Alec and Magnus. I really rather buddy read that whole series.

I have read the first book for each of those series. I just have so many other books I want to get to first.

I have so many books and I know I'm getting more for Christmas from my husband. He already bought me Winter and Soundless. Soundless is my first to tackle when I open the presents. I have to have these books now but I made a deal with him that anything that gets bought after Oct. 1st is Christmas. It's to make sure everyone has a great Christmas. The problem is for me that anything that is purchased after that date I tend to forget about after about a month. lol

message 30: by [deleted user] (new)

Aw. Yeah my hubby puts me on a ban around November. I know I'll be getting books from him, my sister in law, my two best friends. Which is good, but now I'm trying to distract myself from trying to figure out what books.

message 31: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I already know about Soundless and Winter because I am the one who bought them to make sure that I have them under the tree. He knew I was going to do it so that was an okay thing to do. He almost got upset with me when I bought books for my Secret Santa which I will be sending out on Thursday.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

The secret Santa had me excited. My hubby was already scolding me cause he thought they were for me. Lol.

message 33: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
lol, it's our sneaky way of being able to buy books around that book buying ban.

message 34: by [deleted user] (new)

Right!? I do this thing were I by a book or two when my hubby is around then we he's not I'll buy another one or two. But I'll pay with my credit card so he won't know then I'll casually put it on my bookshelf. No kidding you but he won't find out it's a book I'm not allow to have until like 2-5 months later and by then it's too late for him to get mad about!

message 35: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I cannot wait to mail out mine. It'll be nice for the person I bought it for. I tried to get some things that they liked. I might try for one or two more little things before I send it out.

I usually sneak cash out of the account. Mine usually never notices because I receive books in the mail every so often. I had put a block on my wish list so I would not receive anymore books but when I decided to do the Secret Santa thing I decided upon unblocking it for a short time.

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

Aw how nice of them! I thought I was done with my secret Santa but since I have til Saturday to ship it out, I'm keeping the box open til then. What I really wanna do is put a stocking in it and fill that with even more goodies.

message 37: by Andrea (new)

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
Oh that's a really good idea. I think the person who receives it would like that idea.

I am thinking about putting up a board asking for interest in like a Secret Cupid.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

For Valentine's Day!?

Yes for Valentine's Day. I think it would be something sweet.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Hats such a cute idea! <3

I might get the requirements for it put together and at the beginning of the new year post it.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

That sounds like a great idea! I'm excited for it.

Andrea (booktasticnerd87) | 4512 comments Mod
I am thinking of only doing two choices for this one. 1 book and a small gift or 2 books with gifts.

Megan I meant to ask you about it yesterday but you were not feeling well and I wanted you to focus on getting better. I will get the requirements together soon.

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

It'll be fun! Aw Megan were you sick????

message 47: by Megan (new)

Megan (ReadingRover) | 1232 comments Mod
Yeah I've been sick all week. I'm getting better now I hope. I just got up from a nap and am going to a friends to make some DIY Christmas gifts. That should make me feel good!

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

I just made some diy house ornaments with my sister in law.
