This sounds great! Planning to read Agatha Christie Halloween or something by Stephen King. My favorite horror writer :)
I'm planning to read the shining... I've never read Stephen King and it's been sorting on my shelf for awhile
Glad to see you're excited Sarah and Maina! I was thinking of getting back to some King as well for the readathon. Any suggestions?
I think I will read Halloween Party by Agatha Christie or Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux. Might be a great time to read Phantom of the Opera. I am open to suggestions for a great Halloween book.
I have lots of Stephen King to read, and I've already started reading my Halloween books by reading Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. Planning on picking up the second and third on Wednesday, too. Finally going to read The Shining and Carrie :D I'm so excited. I also have Ghost Story by Peter Straub
This is such a great idea!!!! I have a couple of Blake crouch books I can read....I've read most of Stephen Kings novels...Carrie is SUPER scary and the shining was an amazing book...the sequel Dr. Sleep is fantastic too! Pick that one up as well if you can!!!
Awesome! I have a stack of fresh horror reads just for to get in the Halloween spirit! So excited to start!
I am goanna save the first two Miss.Perigrines for this readathon, and finish wichever abarat I am on at that point. Heres to a cup of warm pumpkin spice tea or coffee and good books!
Looks like I'm not the only one planning to read something by Stephen King. It will be Mr Mercedes and Finders Keepers for me.
Lots of spooky horrors and thrillers being planned for the readathon, I love it! I have a few on my shelf that I will save for that week, including some King and the second Miss Peregrine's.
Everything on my list Neil Gaiman:The Graveyard Book
Neverwhere
Already read Coraline and The Ocean at the End of the Lane
Also got a book called Charleston Mysteries: Ghostly Haunts in the Holy City. How appropriate for Halloween!!
I guess it depends what will be up next from my TBR list at that time. I am trying to read through that list as much as possible as well as read the books that are/will be coming out that I am looking forward to.
I am going to read Dracula and The Turn Of The Screw.I have already started reading Dracula.October makes you want to read scary books.

I'll be reading Turn of the Screw at the end of the month for a buddy read as well as here. Not sure on others yet
I will be continuing my read of the Wheel of Time series. Anyone else currently reading this series?
I'm going to read A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness, because it's been on my tbr shelf for quite some time now, so I'll use the readathon as a motivation to finally pick it up.And probably Carrie or It afterwards...
I think I'll read Lick the Razor. I don't even know how it got in my to read shelf but it looks good so why not.
I think I'll finally finish my Alphabet Soup challenge (somehow there are always more interesting books to read):
I must confess, I cracked. I had decided to save
for the read a thon but we started talking about it at work and got curious. Well I have now already read it. Oooops. So I will read
instead. If time permits I will also read some of the two I have started:
and
.
Forgive Me, Leonard PeacockThe Good Girl
Hopefully get some more Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking done, but it takes me forever to read nonfiction.
Might start The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao or John Adams
I have A BUNCH of fantasy and horror reads off of NetGalley, and a few Stephen King books I haven't read either! Maybe this year is the year I'll finally read The Shining...
First book I'm planning to read is Welcome To The Dark House by Laurie Faria Stolarz. Then I might move on to Crown Of Midnight By Sarah J. Maas
I recently finished reading several Halloween/Autumn themed books, so I'm going to finally tackle A Storm of Swords
The Phantom of the Opera is only 188 pages, so I will probably add Hallowe'en Party by Agatha Christie. That is the plan but I could change my mind several times before this readathon is over.
I'm not reading anything Halloween-related for the readathon, since I am doing a team challenge with another group and I need all the points I can get.So I'm starting with Il latte è buono (There's no English translation, but it translates as "Milk Is Good"), by Garane Garane, a Somali author who lived in Italy for years and therefore writes in Italian, even though, if I'm not much mistaken, he lives in the US now. It's referred to as "the firts postcolonial novel of Italian literature, so I think this is going to be interesting. After that (it's a very short book) I think I'll be reading Dramen, that is, the collected theater by Elias Canetti, my favorite author. There's only one of the plays I haven't read yet, but it will be nice to re-read the other two. I still have to decide what I'll read afterwards...
I'm reading Broken, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Power in the Blood - also reading a few non-Halloween novels (starting with Nights in Black Satin)
Spent my extra hour last night after putting our clocks back starting Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children.
I read Turn of the Screw by Henry James, it left me asking more questions than getting answers I'm afraid.
