Since I didn't know how to shelve the book, I'd asked the other mods and no one knew how to really shelve it. I get that now. I sort of think it's realistic fiction with a twist, but there is a fairy tale element as well.
So I read the last few chapters in bed last night and (view spoiler)
I'm glad that we ended up having this as a group read. I'd been putting off reading the book for a while and don't know if I ever would have gotten around to it otherwise. It wasn't the dark or spooky Halloween book that I was hoping for, but it was still good.
