Christie (cereale) This book was amazing. I did finish it in October, but much like every other month we have a group read I always forget to post my thoughts within the month. I was not expecting what I got out of the book and found it to be surprisingly deep and insightful. I did listen to it on audio and loved the narrator. I also looked at all of the illustrations in the print book which were very well done and brought the book to life. It was a great book and I am glad to have read it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Don't feel bad, Christie. I just finished the book last night, so I'm way late.

Since I didn't know how to shelve the book, I'd asked the other mods and no one knew how to really shelve it. I get that now. I sort of think it's realistic fiction with a twist, but there is a fairy tale element as well.

So I read the last few chapters in bed last night and (view spoiler)

I'm glad that we ended up having this as a group read. I'd been putting off reading the book for a while and don't know if I ever would have gotten around to it otherwise. It wasn't the dark or spooky Halloween book that I was hoping for, but it was still good.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) I'm glad you ended up liking it too. It was very tough.

Lyzzibug ~Still Breathing~ (lyzzibug) | 197 comments I just started reading it a few days ago, but I feel like i'm hitting a reading slump so it may take me some time to finish it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Lyzzi, it's a shorter book, if that helps at all. But I know where you're at. My reading slumps almost always demand that I turn to mindless fluff.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 5137 comments Nice! I almost wish that it wasn't being marketed as a children's movie though, even if the main character is a child.

Parents are probably going to be surprised when they take their kids to this movie.

It was the feel-good movie of the year! Oh wait...
