Does that one letter have to be placed on the center square, or can it be placed anywhere on the board?

For that matter does any "first word" have to be placed on the center square? I had not anticipated that this may be so.☻

YES, it should be one letter. I'm trying to make everything harder than it should be. ☺

Your first word, whether one letter or more, can be placed anywhere on the board.

See, I'm not a total Meanie :`D

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I'm ready for the Toppler. I have plenty of books and I went to the grocery store and got snacks and a bottle of wine. I've been telling the dogs they have to behave and not expect me to wait on them all day.

This is my first Toppler and I am so excited! Books are chosen and next to me, hubby is on cooking duty for the week, and lots of drinks and snacks available. I will, however, have to do the washing and dinner tidy up but I think a few breaks are good for the brain and I can't afford to have all my whites turned pink!

Sounds as though you have your priorities straight!☺

Have fun.

Sandra (sanlema) | 11266 comments @Almeta, so accurate, and so Octoberish! I'm not surprised, coming from the "memes" queen of the group! :D

@Anna, I don't really like pink for clothes, so I'm with you!

CFDeeDee I am really really slow in reading this month .. And first toppler too .. I just hope I don't spend the whole week just over one book ! That'll be a total disappointment for me!
I'll just get my books ready on one side, still 3 hours and a half to go ! So excited :D

My skin looks yellowish when I wear pink... hate it...

I am going to start with [book:Zeitoun|6512154 does this mean if we use my book title nobody else can have a one word title used in grid - if it does should we be reading more than one book with a one word title

message 115: by Kristie, Moderator (last edited Oct 17, 2015 08:01AM) (new)

Kristie | 19175 comments Maria - I believe she meant one-letter title, not one word, such as X. We can only use one of those. I think she clarified that above in message 102.

message 116: by [deleted user] (new)

Thanks Almeta! I read your "How To Win A Toppler" post to get a few ideas :-)

Sandra & Lisa, it has happened before and I certainly don't want it to happen again. I look awful in pink!

message 117: by Teanka (new)

Teanka Does it have to be only one letter in the whole title or would The X Factor also count as one letter?

message 118: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments Almeta - your picture is perfect!

I hope all the newbies enjoy their first Toppler! Just remember, it's not how many books you read, it's how much fun you have!

Marie - Kristie's right, it's a one letter title :D
